Good Golly Miss Polly

A few of my family members and I came to Polly's Tearooms about 12 years ago after my Nana's funeral and thought the place was lovely. On a return trip to Burra in Dec 2019 I was hoping to visit it again if it was still here. To my delight it was - now as Good Golly Miss Polly. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast (would loved to have tried their scones but the timing wasn't right) and loved the toby type jugs on the table, the patterned crockery and the painted chairs - reminded me of my Nana. The décor has old fashioned charm and the waiter, Jeffrey, was very sweet, friendly and helpful. When he saw me taking photos he offered to take one of me (I was on my own). I would most definitely recommend a visit here.

This little cosy British styled tea house offers microblogging homemade scones with jam and cream. The portions are very generous and I'd drive 2 hours from Adelaide to Burra just for the scones.

And their hot chocolate is the best I've had so far and compliments well with the scones! 😋😋

Fluffy scones. Homemade jam. Country service. Nostalgic decor and atmosphere. Always my first stop to Burra. Best way to start the detox from city stress.

Burra is e beautiful town with great antique shops and small cafes.
If you come to Burra you must come to visit and eat Polly's carrot cake. Yes, it's the best carrot cake I've ever eat in my life and is bake by Polly.

Fantastic little Cafe in the heart of Burra. The food is really lovely and the decor unusually interesting...there's something to look at every time you go. Dog friendly with bowls of water outside for your pooch and you have a choice of dining in or alfresco. I mentioned the food is really lovely and the owner is such a nice lady. The menu changes quiet often but the favourite dishes always make a come back. Worth a visit and soak up the atmosphere...then wander down the street to the many antique shops....the Cafe is highly recommended....

Great food, with something for everyone. Food was fresh and delicious. Menu includes a good range of gluten free and vegan options.

Greatest little coffee shop in the north fluffy scones with real cream, really rich flavoursome coffee catering for all tastes. Lovely meals prompt service with a smile and well mannered staff. Have been known to run short on some things in busy periods it is so popular .thanks i will be back soon

Absolutely and utterly divine!!! Highly recommend a fantastic breakfast delight. Service was fabulous- most efficient Covid marshal ever- nice to know they are onto this is this new era ! Quite possibly the most delicious chai latte I’ve had🥰

Fabulous friendly service, great coffee and the food was generous and delicious. My partner had a BLT bagel that was fully loaded and my Lemon Torte was the perfect level of tartness!!

Beautiful place with great service, delicious organic home made meals for everyone with any kind of diet restrictions (vegan, gluten free, allergic, etc), huge range of natural teas and infusions and the most welcoming and heart warming staff. Definitely a must.

Lovely cafe, lots of memorabilia. Friendly service. Highly recommend the tiddy oggy. Not your regular Cornish pasty. Yumm ! Coffees were good too.
