Lots of flies, but that's expected. Spent New Year's Eve there. Very relaxing.
Love the local wildlife!
Will be back!

This is a great place to visit and to stay. The dirt road in is reasonable, a few potholes and corrugations but nothing of consequence. The day area is good. The camping area is also very good. Nice sized spots with enough room for caravans and your car. No fires I believe are allowed. There is a nice walk as well.

Such a beautiful area to explore and stay a few days. Highly recommended. Bring in everything you need and leave no trace. This is a conservation park! Well worth staying a few days.

It's free, has a toilet (bring paper) and has 11 generous sized spots to camp in privacy. The walk is easy and gives a good impression of the conservation area.

Great place to camp! Quite dry but we found lots of Kangaroos and there's a gorgeous watering hole along the "Landscapes of Change" trail. Toilet is a drop toilet with a chimney and a gap under the shed so no smell (BYO toilet paper obviously). Roads are quite good and the site isn't far from Burra if you need to go to the shops. Would recommend to most campers!

Such a beautiful conservation park and only just a few hours outside of Adelaide. The camp ground was clean with sites well marked out from each other and plenty of space between. Accessible by 2wd. Will definitely be returning!

Great free camping spot with 10-11 sites. Some sites were much bigger than others, but all would be able to put a caravan on them. We found it to be mostly empty, but up to 6 sites were in use over the Saturday of the June long weekend. Sites are nicely spaced from each other, so we found it very quiet. There is a longdrop in the centre of campground, so the toilet is only a 1-2 minute walk from any site. Toilet smelled a bit at times. Bring your own toilet paper. Signs say no fires, but parks.sa.gov website says you can have them (which was last updated 3 months ago). Ranger also saw us having one and was ok with it. Don't forget to bring your own firewood. There are no rubbish bins or water tanks. There are 2 walks near by: the Oval walk takes 20 minutes each way and leaves from just outside the campground loop. Walk is lovely and you'll start out walking along the tops of the red banks and then later down at the foot of them. The oval itself is just scrub that is fenced off in an oval shape - not a grassy area. But there are picnic seats so that you can eat lunch and look and the red earth, and can drive your car here if you don't want to walk. The Changing Landscapes walk leaves from the Oval and takes 1.5-2 hours total. Directional signage is good, however, information signage is rather poor. Some signs did explain the animals and conversation practices, but did not have any info about how the red crevices in the ground were being formed (which were really incredible). Many signs were also missing and faded. But the walk itself was fantastic. There are no designated seats along the pathway to have lunch, so if you plan to stop to eat, would recommend doing so when you get to the bottom of the hill and sit on the rocks by the water. Beautiful spot.
