First time travellers Saturday night!
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by all the crew! The food was delicious & the atmosphere was awesome. Now to the artists, each carriage was unique but all so incredibly talented & without you guys there wouldn’t be no Blues Train!!
Such a fun night …. Definitely a must do

If you love the blues, this is a five star experience waiting for you.

I recommend doing this when it is daylight savings so you get to enjoy the views of the water until late into the night. It got dark pretty early on our trip which was a shame. But the views we enjoyed when it was light were pretty exceptional!

Dancing whilst moving in an old red rattler is quite the experience. Highly recommend for the giggle value. Not many danced in our carriage.

Moving between the four carriages at every platform is fun.

It would be a perfect way to party if you could fill a carriage with your friends.

It would also be great if there were more food options available at each platform rather than just alcohol. Desert on the platforms in between performances would be good as there is a lot of milling around on the platform in between gigs.

By the time we got home at 12:30am we were all so hungry and sat up having a late night snack. Not something I ever do but we danced all night and worked up quite the appetite.

BYO metal bucket for transporting your drinks is a good idea to keep your drinks from toppling over. Regulars buy a Blues Train metal bucket which they bring with them.

You can’t take any drinks out of the venue so keep that in mind when you buy drinks. Or the other option is if you are happy to swill at the gates before you exit. 🥴

BYO munchies is something I would recommend for when you are sitting around listening to music.

The night we did the Blues train there was a restaurant train on another line. We went past it on our way then got stuck when the restaurant train broke down blocking us from returning to Queenscliff.

I really felt for the musicians who had to perform extended sets. In our carriage we had the lone musician so it was much harder for him being on his own. But he did a great job of keeping us entertained.

So it was a much later night than anticipated as we got back one hour later than normal. But it was a good fun time!

Make a weekend of it and stay somewhere local. Highly recommend for an indulgent weekend away.

We needed an extra ticket for the night so do make use of their ticket exchange platform if you need to buy or sell tix. We luckily got a call on the morning of the event and secured an extra ticket. The event was sold out otherwise.

What a groovy night. Staff were genuinely happy and friendly on a reasonably fresh evening in late April.
The line-up was smooth as we paid extra to be boarded first. The food was great and plentiful; a help-yourself style set on the platform before all the music begun. They even offered seconds.
Toilet/smokers stops every 30mins.
If anything, there was a lengthy wait between finishing our food and taking off. This might have been down to everyone being fed, so nothing too bothersome. To counter that, it would have been good to have had some blues background music playing while we were waiting to move, just to get right into the vibe - maybe the train isn't equipped with a system. There was a warm energy in the carriage, so music would have been ideal before the live tunes kicked in.
Nevertheless, I highly recommend the experience, as I have to everyone I've told since. I would suggest to go outside of daylight savings to get the ambience of the lights against the darkness outside.
Great job, Blues Train. See you next year!

Great venue for live blues music, 4 carriages, pulled by a steam train, each with a different band. You swap carriages at the different stops to see the next band. Great meal, great staff. If you are looking for an amazing and different music and dining experience, then you need to book into The Blues Train.

Had the most amazing birthday weekend on the Blues Train. The bands were absolutely incredible, the dancing was so much fun (it was a new experience and an extra level of fun dancing on a moving train 😁) and there was a great vibe all round. 10/10 would recommend!

Brilliant night, artists were amazing, very well organised, heaps of fun.
Only down side, is there not much space for dancing.
Our 2nd time on the Blues train, we'll definitely be back!

What a truly unique and magical tour! Imagine jumping aboard a vintage steam train and being gently rocked through the spectacular scenes of Swan Bay, rolling greens of Suma Park and the Bellarine Rail Trail, all while listening to incredible acts of blues music! Move through four different carriages with three stops along the way for refreshments and amenities, allowing you to see four different stand-out performances! Not to mention a beautiful dinner at the station prior to departure. Grab your mates and book your tickets, this is a night not to be missed!🚂🕺💃🏼🎉

A night to remember..Take a group of good friends and go and book yourselves onto the Blues Train..It's the most fun, enjoyable, wonderful night of music, food and entertainment. From the food, to all the sweetest staff waving you goodbye at the station, to the excellent top class musicians who are just brilliant to the joyous atmosphere of all whom you inevitably end up getting to know and share the fun with, it's the best night out that I guarantee will leave a smile on your face for days.
They even cater for vegetarians or any other special dietary needs, and not just boring alternatives, but actually tasteful and delicious options that you'll enjoy.
I bought the Gold Class ticket for myself and my two friends whose birthday's it was.. They have decided it's their best present ever...and I think so too.

A fun night out! 4 carraiges, 4 blues acts and good vibes! Other passengers were up for a chat, food was good, buffet style, drinks to purchase and you can buy your own ice bucket to carry your drinks around with you for the night. If you like a party you can get up and dance as the train rolls on, which is a great time, or you can sit back and enjoy the music. We stayed at the Vue Grande just a short walk to the train and enjoyed a lazy breakfast in Queenscliff the next morning. Perfect for a date night or take some friends down for a fabulous fun weekend away! Highly recommend The Blues Train.

A really great night out. Great music and really well run with heaps of staff. What I wasn't expecting is that it naturally attracts a crowd that is out looking to have fun. From what I could see, with maybe a hundred people rolling off the train at the end of the night, everyone did. No exceptions. Great fun.

What a fabulously unforgettable experience it was riding on The Blues Train! .. starting off with drinks, a delicious, healthy 'all you can eat' dinner, topping it off with four carriages of some of Melbourne's great live music! Worth every cent!! - Highly recommended everyone - a good time for any celebration! We had photos to post but unfortunately they wouldn't load. Thank you Blues Train for a fantastic time! We're coming back for a repeat :)

Great night out for Blues lover. We really enjoyed the night and hospitality from the Blues Train crew. Upon check in, we had some trouble with our ticket, the owner was very kind and flexible to sort out our ticketing problem. Enjoyed the music throughout the journey and definitely recommend for those love music, I will come back again for this experience!

We recently purchased a carriage on the Blues Train for a group of young adults with disabilities. The entire process from booking the event, organising dietary requirements and then having an incredible night to remember for the group was outstanding. A very big thank you to Kelly, Hugo and Kate for your first class service all the way. PS. The buffet meal was delicious and all of the musicians were exceptional.
