Possum's Hollow and Hooter's Hut, Bush Cabins.

Stayed here when my mum came to visit from the UK, awesome place and dog friendly.

We had the most fabulous time here at both the Possum's Hollow and Hooter's Hut. The kids loved riding between the two cabins. The cabins have heaps and heaps of books and games for the kids and adults. We will be back. Loved the fire pits outside and the fireplaces inside.

What an amazing place. Our little boy loved exploring every inch of the property. Loved the rustic atmosphere.

A great, secluded hideaway with all the comforts of home. A truly great place to stay.

Excellent for a real get away... Rustic!

Very peaceful and pleasant place. Well presented and comfortable cabin accommodation with all the comforts in the bush.
It is a 20 minute drive from Stanthorpe so be prepared. Also a bit difficult to find the first time but if you turn onto Butler Rd (good quality dirt road) then turn left again at the T (signed No Through Road), follow it down past the house on your right, take the right hand turn, keep going straight for 1km the entrance is signed on your right. Through the gate and follow the fence to the cabin (signed).
A walk around the property is very pleasant with plenty of wildlife and a rock scramble to the highest rock in the middle of the property reveals very nice views.

Absolutely devastated by the poor management choice of this place. We were booked to come and stay for two nights on the weekend and unfortunately not from lack of trying but the advice from two local councils that it wasn't safe to attempt the drive due to all the flooding and not physically being able to get there because of all the road closures from the floods. Whilst I understand and appreciate cancellation policies but to not even consider a credit for us to be able to return at a later date is completely unfair given the circumstances were completely out of our control.

To say they missed other bookings because of our cancellation I feel isn't correct, given Stanthorpe wasn't accessible.

Absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism and compassion by this business! I booked with the sanctuary in February 2022 and two days before arrival was canceled on with no legitimate reason or apology, I was refunded. I booked again for may, only be told after booking that the accommodation I booked was actually not available and I’d been moved to a less desirable and smaller cabin with no compensation or refund given although asked for! When the weekend of stay arrived all of south east Queensland was in a state of emergency, all roads and access to the region including the property were inaccessible, I was told by the horribly rude property manager Anna there was nothing they could do about it and I was charged the full amount of stay! After much discussion back and forth with her she proceeded to tell me I wasn’t entitled to a refund, it wasn’t her problem and told me to contact booking.com and blocked me! This business is a complete scam! Friends who are local say there is constantly reported problems with the property and it’s management! STAY AWAY!
