Lots of great activities for kids from toddler and up. The inside area is small but chill and relaxing. The playground and the walks have lots of little details that make the kids feel special. Great place to take the family.

We came for the geocaches (found all four!), and stayed for the recently upgraded playground at the bushland centre. We hadn’t visited in a couple of years, and it is *vastly* improved.

For the reserve itself: The walking/cycling paths are paved and very mobility friendly, except for a couple sets of stairs, but there are alternative routes. The scenery is niiiice, particularly if you’re as partial to Xanthorrhoeas as I am, and the serenity is A+ (save for the frequent encounters with nuclear families arguing over which path is the one they need to take, followed by a second encounter as they backtrack after realising they should’ve listened to the kids).

If you want a bigger walk, head North to the top of the reserve, up the long staircase alongside Raven St (no alternative route for this one I’m afraid), and over the wildlife bridge across Hamilton Rd. Go up that hill (another staircase, in the second photo, or take the water tank service road) and check out the new Milne Hill lookout - especially at sunset. You might also see some wallabies on your way back down at that time of day.

Lovely shady forest park. Interactive family forest app available for exploring. I havent tried it but looks like a fun way to explore the surrounds. The playground is really lovely and encourages imaginative play

Nice and safe place to have our morning walk. Very quiet and shady, and with beautify bird humming in the surrounding. One of my favourite place to walk with my wife in the morning.

I took my grandson and we had the best time. He is nearly three but there were all ages there. Great sensory trail, the playground has recently been updated - so much to do and see. It would also be a great place for a picnic or bar b que!

This is a beautiful Park with great amenities. Includes a lovely environmental walk for all. Even suitable for wheelchairs.

The children's playground equipment is fantastic. With swings. 😊

There is a great picnic area and bbq facilities for several families. There is mostly bush land to explore but some grassed land to run around. Toilets also.

One of the best hidden treasure parks. A small but beautiful park that also has walks that can lead you all the way up to Aspley.

The equipment is well made , in great condition and themed great.

Attached to the resource center which has a lot of valuable local information in regards to wildlife and gardening.

Well thought out parkland from the community garden and compost area to the great kids playground and nature path. There is ample coverage for parties and has a mini outdoor concert area aswell.

The only downside is the amount of mosquitoes who look like roided out gym bunnies

Perfect walk, especially if you have younger kids. My 3 boys aged between 18months-6yrs love it, they take along their scooters. At the end there is an awesome park, sensory walk, bbq area and a basketball court.

A beautiful place to visit, especially if looking for a nice playground to take kids on a hot day, as it's nice and shady with lots of trees. There's a lovely, pram-friendly, short bush walk/loop right beside the playground. Plenty of gas BBQ facilities, clean well-maintained amenities. If you're there when the info centre is open, they have great displays and activities for kids, as well as a bush treasure hunt (for things like bees, leaves, fungi etc).

Very clean, open, tranquil place. BBQ'S free to use, however families tend to hover around them even when not using them. Lovely playground and basketball 1/2 court. Clean toilets, and quaint educational centre. Great walking tracks with different distances for all abilities. Around 20 car spaces, and a few bus spaces that a few frequent families with small cars tend to use leaving buses blocking access.

I grew up in McDowall and lived just down the road from Raven Street Reserve.
I spent my days with other children in my street playing in the bush making cubby houses, bike jumps and walking in the bush bare foot I wouldn't do that now. I have fond happy memories of living and enjoying Raven Street Reserve. I too this day still walk along the path with my parents, Support Worker and Occupational therapist. I recommend Raven Street Reserve too everyone and I hope everyone experiences the same thing I did and enjoy Raven Street Reserve as much as I did most of my life.

What a great place to spend a few hours. From the informative visitors centre which highlights everything from the local flora and fauna to sustainable living practises to the children playground, basketball court and picnic area, though to the extensive walks and nature activities, this is a great FREE resource. There is plenty of wildlife to see including wallabies, parakeets and flying foxes. The only thing it's lacking is anywhere to purchase refreshments!
