Food perfectionism. High quality ingredients cooked to perfection with immaculate presentation.Waiter explained each dish and how best to enjoy it. All the staff were so friendly. Very authentic Japanese.

i'm here from melbourne on a trip with my family for my birthday and the holiday's celebration, we arrived today and was looking for a close by restaurant to eat at and we stumbled across this local japanese restaurant. i was skeptical at first since i would say i don't usually have the greatest experience with japanese cuisine in australia unless it's super expensive and out of reach.

though, upon our seating, service was very attentive and tender. the person who served us seemed to be the owner and he was very involved and you can tell he loves what he does. he is very kind and detailed.

the food was not far from the quality of service, it was amazing. everything was well seasoned and paired, i was shocked! it was fresh and you could tell that the chefs truly handled the food with care. even my younger sister, 13, said it was a 9/10! that's huge.

we were totally satisfied and left feeling great!

I have eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the world and I was blown away at how amazing the food is at this place. I had the Ora king salmon sashimi and it was hands down the best raw fish I have ever eaten. They are so lovely too and very well trained staff. They brought out this amazing collection of nigiri that was unlike anything I have seen. An onion infused king fish dish and then an amazing avocado and tuna cocktail #mind blown - I feel like I pay $300 a head for this level of food in other high end places so to get this in a little Japanese place like this is awesome because I can come here every week! Oh and the wine list is next level, I know wine and literally had never even heard of the stuff they have and it was Stella!

Been here many times and never fails to delight - freshness, presentation, service, wine list and, most importantly, deliciousness! Can highly recommend.

beautiful fresh sashimi plate, the salmon upgraded to NZ Ora is amazing. love the eel fish with rice, good to add a bowl of rice with the sauce.

Me and my partner decided to have lunch here while waiting for his haircut in Empower Barbershop. The food exceeded our expectations. Amazing service first of all. We ordered the Wagyu Yakiniku, Wagyu Fat Potato and Rainbow Roll. It was amazing! The potato is so nice! I personally am not a fan of potatoes but these ones changed that today. The char flavour and lemon mayo complimented so well! The Yakiniku is so flavourful but not salty just BALANCED. The Rainbow Roll has a creamy good quality avocado and fresh salmon. A mush recommend Japanese Restaurant! Please try it out.

We dined here on a Saturday night. The service was amazing. The food was unreal, we have dined at a lot of Japanese restaurants and the quality of the sashimi let alone the food was outstanding. Definitely will be back in a heartbeat.

Staff is so friendly 10 stars. Dumplings was so juicy and crispy. If you are mochi fan must try here, best ever!! Plus they serve with home made vanilla ice cream 👍

It was an absolute pleasure to experience the quality food and all its delicate flavours at Hosokawa. As one of their past regulars, to dine in and share such an experience with a friend had truly created a memorable night. Amazing food and exemplary service. Waiter made some great suggestions, pairing knowledgeable and he was so enthusiastic, you can tell he loved what he does. There was nothing to pick on let alone complain about. Best Japanese cuisine I've ever experienced. We will be back again without a doubt!

We LOVE Hosokawa. It is our favourite Japanese restaurant for its fresh seafood and everything is just absolutely delicious. We spend all our special occasions here and it’s become a special place for us. The service is fantastic too. I couldn’t fault them. The small eggplant dish is a must try.

Food is so fresh and delicious. It is a little pricey but I cannot fault the food. Had the kingfish ceviche, pork belly, salmon croquettes and eggplant. That ceviche was stunning! Service was friendly. Definitely will be back.

Wonderful fresh Japanese food. The Ora salmon is incredible. Some twists to traditional Japanese fare but all very considered and beautiful. Great service too. Will be back when next in Brisbane
