Love Malatang Sunnybank (Noodle Soup & Hotpot Chinese Restaurant)

I love the variety of toppings and the delicious soup base. The store is small and cool, and the staff always welcomes you with a smile. I love this place.

I have tried many malatangs in Brisbane, and this place is one of my favourites. I enjoy original and tomato based soups.

Self-serve for the most part, like most malatangs. The cooking time is pretty quick, around 10 minutes.

Not much seating is available and can get a bit crowded, but most times, it's not a problem.

Their malatang chinese noodle soup is outstanding, highly recommended. If anyone is looking for noodle soup / hotpot restaurant in Brisbane, they should definitely pay them a visit.

Fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Great soup base. I do think they give you white man 'hot' when asking for hot. But you can always compensate with their generous dipping sauce station. I always get their Original Malatang. Spicy level hot. Never dissapointed. Usually less than $20 unless i get a bit greedy. Nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom

You can chose what’s ingredients you like and decided how spicy you wanted! When you wait for food, there is a TV to watch and some extra sauces you could add on the small bowl which you dipped with your food!! Very delicious even for 4 years-old kids!! (No spicy of course) Highly recommended!!!

h a n d s d o w n ✋😌🤚 the best malatang. first of all, location and vibes are amazing, super cosy almost secret underground restaurant. soup base is so good and usually the handmade noodles are amazing, last time I went though it seemed like they used pasta instead, hopefully that was a once off thing. staff are always very friendly and happy to help, our meat got taken out one day (I think they cook it seperate to avoid overcooking) and the worker v kindly went and cooked us more in replacement. out of all malas I would say this one is the fastest in service and probably more likely to get a table at due to it being hidden. I love how many options there are and how you can choose what you want and how much. great for a date or for a nice hot bowl of noodles.

Selection of ingredients is great. The variety of choices easily accommodate every dietary requirement (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc). Broth spice can be selected when paying. Have eaten here many times and never been disappointed!

We really enjoyed the food here every time we came.
Also they will add new items to the menu from time to time. The dining environment is very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. You can prepare your preferred sauce yourself!!!

Good selection of meats, seafood and vegetables to choose from and all were so fresh.

We were newbies trying it with the kids, we met the Boss who kindly went thru the process, and was so helpful and patient. All the staff were so friendly! The food was incredible, we all loved our meals even our fussy eater ate till he was in a food coma! It was so good, we went and grabbed a second serving to take home for lunch the following day!!!

I only do reviews very rarely. So trust me on this. This place has awesome service. Employees and cooks are nice and understand the needs of eating. I often get takeaway and everything is always packed like requested and sealed nicely (rare spill but i dont mind). I normally get fritters separately and they always get it right. Everything is always top notch and food is so clean. My order is a complex one but they always get it right and today I order from the app Easi, super complex order that anyone could have mess up but they did everything like how I normally get it and wrap my sauces nicely. I am absolutely ecstatic about this place. So there you go. Thank you Shop!
