David's Noodle & Hotpot - Sunnybank

I was there Saturday for Chinese new year for the first time and the hot pot was so delicious. They have the best ingredients. And the original soup flavour is a 10/10. I will definitely be coming back here. I might get a takeaway bowl instead. Be warned, the dine in bowls are mega in size. My friend and I could barely finished and needed to have a hour walk or so to feel our full belly cramps to disappear. It is SO GOOD. 🤤 Staff were amazing, sweet and forgiving when we accidentally added garlic and spring onion from the sauce making station. Staff can add those extras when you go to the counter.

Highly recommend the stir fry over the soup if you want something lighter. Its great that you can add a side of rice for $2!

Prices are super affordable and I always leave feeling full and satisfied.

Haven’t tried the hotpot but really enjoyed the large servings of Taiwanese beef noodles and cold noodles with sesame paste. I really like that there’s additional garnishes which you can serve yourself including delicious chilli oil and coriander.

I love hot pot. Great selection of food and it was very delicious, there was also a good bubble tea shop next to where we had hot pot. Definitely recommend both shops.

Just love the malatang spicy soup. Very consistent taste. Wish it was a bit more numbing (more Sichuan peppercorn)

Favourite malatang place in Brisbane by far! Visited David’s Master Pot 3 times within the last 2 weeks because it’s simply too amazing. The soup bases are so delicious and tasty. Our favourite is really the signature malatang but tried and tested the golden soup base as well and it was really good too. We ordered the mildest and the spiciness was tolerable and we believe none of the tastiness in the soup was compromised. As any other malatang, you get to pick your ingredients and rest assure, there are plenty to choose from. Basically anything you may want from a malatang or hot pot store, they likely have. Best picks in our opinions was the yam (super fluffy and tasty), marinated meats, basa fillets, dried la mien and frozen tofu. Each order pick-your-own order comes with a free rice if you’re not a fan of noodles too! If you ever visit, don’t forget to get their deep fried pork belly as well. It is simply amazing. Unlike other shops that sells fried pork belly dishes, this pork belly is juicy (not dry!) and tasty! They do seem to run out pretty quickly but it’s absolutely work the luck to try and ask if it’s available. Service is pretty good too! staff
at the front is so efficient and effective with running the store, it’s commendable! Do keep in mind that it’s extremely popular and it does tend to get very crowded (doesn’t help that their shop is tiny and can sit about 20 plus people only) so if visiting during lunch, prepare for a wait! Nonetheless, it’s all worth it!

Always wanted to try the food out here, because I could always smell it. The smell of the food lived up to the taste and it was absolutely delicious, the vegetables were superb, excellent flavour, taste, crunch, partnered with the broth it is to die for! The meat was delicious, and had a lovely overall texture and flavour. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, made for an extremely pleasant eating environment. Definetly going to come here again for lunch. 😊

I want to try other noodle and hot pot next time. I tried pea noodle . It was nice. Not too spicy . If you choose hotpot ,you can chose vegetable and meat and noodle whatever you want . It is nice choice for lunch.

I dream about this hot pot. So flavourful, so filling & hearty. This is our go-to for hotpot. And highly recommend the stir fry too. If you don’t like chilli, get the no spice option. Mild is still not for the faint of heart… but I looooove it

David’s noodle & hotpot is one of the best places! There is a wide variety of noodles, vegetables, meats and seafood.
I prefer the hotpot soup it’s absolutely delish!
It’s very customisable and you can either pick from hotpot or stir fry. The David’s special sesame oil sauce is amazing!
The staff there are very friendly!

We were pleasantly surprised. Found in the heart of the Sunnybank Mall right outside the Hoyts Cinema. We’ve walked passed this place a number of times and it’s always bustling with people. After today’s experience, it’s evident to see why. Impressive flavours, well priced and the service is good. Happy faces with a warm and friendly welcome.

We’ll be back. Highly recommended.

You pick the ingredients, there are verities of Noodles, greens, seafood , meat etc.. you can have it as a soup or stir fry. I love it as a medium spicy soup. It is simply delicious !!!

Unfortunately this place has slowly declined in service and quality. It costs close to 30 dollars for some vege and meat in a soup and owner gives you the smallest amount of dipping sauce to go with it. Last week the owner was hiding the sesame sauce in the kitchen. A sauce that is suppose to be free and included. The staff are rude and indifferent. My advice is if you really like the food, go to Garden City or Indooroopilly David’s Malatang. Same franchise but WAY better service and quality.

I come here at least once a fortnight, if not more often. Absolutely delish soup bases and tasty fresh ingredients for a great price. Even when they're busy you don't have to wait too long for your order. Can't say enough how much I love this place!

Sometimes the seating area can't cope with all the customers, but the staff look out for you in the food court as well if you sit close by.

Can't wait to come back again.

Had no idea why the rating is low, you choose the food that you wanna eat and then weigh it in the counter, they’ll cook it in your way, spicy or not, soup or fried. At least I liked it very much. Prices are reasonable.

My wife loves to come here when we visit sunny bank. It's always her favourite place to eat here
