Picked up a nice antique trinket box made in France for $9, its probably worth $120. Great little find. The shop is organized, clean and tidy. Upmarket area and an opportunity shop to match.

I am surprised at some of the negative reviews. I have always been greeted in this shop and the staff have always been delightful. I do understand the frustration regarding done high prices, but I have had so one great bargains in this store and find mind paying a little more if necessary - it’s going to a good cause. I gave also had done great bargains for next to nothing. One thing I would point out though - if an op shop is in or adjacent to an upmarket area, then it is likely that 1) the quality of the donations will generally be of a high standard or designer products. 2) it is more likely that these donations will be made more often as their disposable income is higher 3) For homewares I have noticed a higher quality and more general ‘antique’ items here - see point 1) but also remember as the older generation die, their higher quality pieces will be donated. If you want items at $2 then you need to check out the op shops further out.

To all the whingers, the money for the higher priced items goes to charity. You’re just normal people with money wanting things cheap and taking it from the needy, you weren’t planning to leave it for a person in need yourself, double standard hypocrites.

Good stock, more sizing would be helpful but 16+ section is helpful. I bought good stuff:)

Prices are high and frequently not open at opening time advertised. Very disappointed

Very expensive. I can understand second hand shops selling designer items at a higher price, but I couldn't afford even the non-designer items. I understand this is a trendy area, but not everyone who lives here is rich. And you shouldn't have to be rich to shop second hand.

When I see the prices in this shop I am just sad and ashamed. Vinnies is supposed to, I quote from their website “ provide a hand up, not just a hand out while respecting their dignity.” But still in this shop you can see jackets at 200$, shoes at 50, 70$, to quote a few. There is definitely no dignity is these prices. I have never seen that before. I can understand some clothes may be from “luxury” brands but this is the whole point of vinnies, being , for poor people, able to buy decent clothing at small and fair prices, corresponding to the little they can afford. I have been for years, shopping at different vinnies, in different states and cities in Australia, but I will not shop in this one. These prices are far from matching the st Vincent de Paul society aspirations “ to shape a more just and compassionate society”.

Ridiculous prices for an OP shop. Vinnies should be ashamed of itself. Most expensive OP shop I have ever stepped foot in.
