Wallaby Hotel

Had an absolutely amazing time at the Wallaby the other day. The food was incredible and the customer service was superb with one bartender in particular, he served up the most delicious cocktails and made drinks so fast that he would present them before I even had time to open my wallet. Didn’t catch his name but had long hair and tattoos. Would recommend going dinner was incredible.

The atmosphere was just electric. Physically couldn't handle the shakes in my boots from all the radiating joy. The retro and rustic feel of the pub is just so inviting. Piper was my waitress and she elevated the experience in such a cohesive way, truly just swaying through the pub like a jellyfish in water. Food was great too.

Came in on Sunday evening. Absolutely spectacular service. Food was brilliant. One staff member rose above the rest - Evalyn went above and beyond to provide a serendipitous experience. Really changed my opinion of the Gold Coast. If I owned a bar I would hire her immediately. Beyond amazing service. 11/10 would recommend anyone in town come visit. Magnificent 💯

I had the special of the day, bangers and mash.
It was the most well presented bangers and mash I've ever had.
The flavours were delicious, my experience was delightful.
A cute little pub nestled off the highway. I can Highly recommended a visit.

Had a beautiful meal with my family. The staff were amazing in particular Tayla who went above and beyond with friendly service and assisting us with all our needs including food allergies. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and what we could or couldn’t have. We were so appreciative.

We regularly attend The Wallaby for work lunches and functions and the staff are always friendly and approachable. Tayla is the staff member we usually deal with and she is a standout with her service and professionalism. She has always ensured we had the right table with the awesome views and our meals are fantastic and she regularly checks on our table to make sure our experience is enjoyable. The location is easily accessible and we enjoy the atmosphere with the live music. Keep up the great work with the service and the staff like Tayla and we will keep coming back.

Awesome Easter lunch for the whole family. Big shout out to Taylor for creating the egg hunt for all the kids. Everyone had loads of fun 🐣🥚🐣

Had lunch at the Wallaby today. Food was fantastic and very generous portions. Great value for money. The calamari entree was divine and the chicken parmi was delicious, but the diane sauce was by far the best I've ever had. The pub itself has a great traditional pub feel and the open plan dining area is very inviting. The service was exceptional. We were looked after by Tayla who not only served us at the bar but was also running the dining area. She was very warm friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back! Thanks Tayla.... and the Chefs!

We went to see a band last Saturday night called Jabba, and they were AWESOME. Thanks, the Wallaby Hotel, and I hope more pubs on the Goldie sign them up to play as we'd love to hear and see their show again. Free as well!!! Bonus! 👍

I live in Brisbane, and travel down to the Wallaby Hotel for the Wallaby Blues Jam nights. Iconic old pub in a great location, and really cool area where the live music is played. Love the atmosphere, it's a great place to be!

I try to get there early-ish to have a meal before the music starts. Always great tucker, my favourites being the burgers and the fish and chips. My vegetarian friend loves the arancini balls and the zucchini fritters.

Bar staff are really friendly and very efficient.

On the visits I am travelling alone, I have to obviously watch the alcohol intake and there are reasonable options for low (or no) alcohol drinks. Sometimes a have friends with me and they can hook into a few more drinks, and occasionally I get to be the passenger and have a few drinks too.

(n/a for rooms, I have not stayed in the motel section; although I should consider it for the blues jam visits).

Adam and the Wallaby have gone out of their to make our group Friday night drinks a simple and enjoyable affair. From picking us up and dropping us off in Austinville to booking a quiet table so we can get on with our Friday night banter. Thanks guys much appreciated!

My husband and I are up visiting family at Worongary and they brought us here for lunch. Beautiful town and a great place to eat. The food in the bistro was absolutely delicious. Even my fussy mum loved and ate all her meal. I can't wait to come again.
The young lady behind the bar (who also took our difficult orders) was terrific. Her name was Chilli and she served us with a smile and cheerful conversation. Our orders were not standard to the menu and she took it all in her stride still smiling. What a credit she is to the Wallaby Hotel. Congratulations for employing such a dedicated, friendly and kind person. She made our day special.

Great place, the staff were so warm and welcoming. The amazing lady in the gaming room, think her name was Kelly, greated us with a smile and always came around to ask if we were okay. Will definitely return 🍾

Myself and 2 friends had lunch today in the Wallaby Restaurant.I am a retired commercial cook and enjoy delicious food.I ordered the Porchetta dish and it was excellent.Perfectly cooked vegetables,tasty pork and a fabulous Cider Jus.Keep up the good work,we will be back!

The Wallaby hotel is a great place to have a drink and a meal. And a great place for live music. With a great sounding PA and lighting rig. The thursday night blues jams are top nodge with top players shredding the stage.

Thursday night blues jam is a great night of up market musicianship & comradery hosted by the Aitken brothers who are not only accomplished musicians, but also true gentleman of the music industry. Highly recommended!

Great pub for events! Always enjoy my time here.

Best Live Music Venue with that local friendly feel about it. Can’t go passed the kids playground and deck area and welcoming bistro. Food portions are decent and so is the price.

All the staff are friendly and great customer service. You will have to come in and check them out.
