Melross & Willows Estate

We had an amazing wedding weekend and am so delighted we picked The Barn on Melross for our wedding!
We wanted to choose a venue where we could stay on-site, offer rooms for our close family and bridal party; and have the ceremony plus reception all close-by.
Melross Farm ticked all our boxes. It was our first and only venue inspection, we both were absolutely smitten by the open landscape and stunning escarpments encircling the property. We both loved Terrene's approach and attitude, she gave us a great tour of the whole property with suggestions for photos and really clear guidance for the day.
The venue location in Kangaroo Valley is perfect - close to town but quiet and peaceful all on its own.
We enjoyed a two night stay using both houses on the property (Millet House and Rye House), both were perfect for our guests.
Lastly, the wedding!! The Barn looks amazing even without your own decorations, the space is open and clean but showcases the natural surroundings. We didn't need to do much to enhance the existing beauty which was a great relief.
We ended up needing the wet-weather option but the view was still the showstopper for our ceremony.
The reception was amazing, the venue manager was so helpful and just made everything perfect for us, attending to any need we had on the night.
We had a perfect wedding and are so grateful and happy we chose to have it at Melross & Willows Estate, thank you to everyone here for helping to give us our dream wedding. We already have friends wanting to re-book the homes for a weekend away, we all fell in love with the place!

As a wedding photographer who has worked at this venue numerous times, I can easily say that Melross is hands down the best wedding venues! I always look forward to photographing here as the landscape is just stunning and always makes for the perfect backdrop in wedding photos! Don't even get me started on how good the sunset can be when you head up to the top paddock. The staff are top notch too, super friendly and always going above and beyond for their couples. I always have a great experience when working here! Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

We had the most beautiful weekend celebrating our wedding in September. The view from our ceremony and reception was spectacular! Everything was clearly communicated to us and we loved the flexibility of adding our own personalised touches that many other venues do not offer - choosing our ceremony location on the property, bringing our own alcohol onsite and having our bridal party and family stay onsite. Terrene was very accommodating of our requests!

We were married at Melross Farm in October 2023 and the venue and services were exceptional! Terrene was so helpful and responsive leading up to our wedding, and the venue manager on the day was fantastic. We also utilised the babysitting service by Heidi who was absolutely amazing looking after our 10 month old daughter and another friend’s baby. Melross Farm is just one the most stunning properties you will ever go to. The onsite accomodation was great and spacious for a big number of people, clean, and well cared for. If you are picking a wedding venue, look no further! The views are just breathtaking, there are so many photo opportunities and it honestly ticks every single box. I wish we could go back and do it all again!

What a venue! I photographed a wedding recently here and loved everything about this place. The venue itself was stunning, the acommodations amazing, the grounds itself well kept and neat. Such a pleasure photographing here and can't wait to photograph here again!

I can’t recommend Melross and Willows Estate any more for your wedding. It is the perfect venue. From having on site accomodation for our whole family and bridal party, being dog friendly to the magical setting- it was simply incredible. Terrene and John were amazing to communicate with and made the entire wedding planning process so easy. We had so many guests comment on the stunning back drop and beautiful grounds. We are so happy we chose The Barn on Melross for our wedding and look forward to coming back to stay for our anniversaries to come!

We had our wedding at Melross in May 2022 and honestly couldn't fault a thing. The venue itself is like no other, with charming views in every direction and a fantastic atmosphere. The accommodation was comfortable and made for an incredible weekend with our nearest and dearest. The cows and sheep were a particularly fun element!

Terrene was fantastic to work with, both in the lead up to and over the weekend. Communication was efficient and she even went so far as coordinating emergency logistics with vendors on the day when a car accident blocked the only sealed road in to KV, relieving my wife and I of huge stress.

I would highly recommend Melross to anyone looking for a venue with that wow factor. It certainly ticked all our boxes and more, and we will forever cherish the memories made.

Melross Farm is an unbelievably breath taking venue. If you're looking for romantic rustic charm this is the place for you. Not only are the sweeping views of the majestic escarpments stunning, but the overall feel of the venue with the small vineyard, paddocks and livestock is just beautiful and wonderfully serene.

The owner of the property Terrene is incredibly helpful and very easy to deal with. No question went unanswered and everything we needed was either already there or offered to be supplied.

Over our wedding weekend we experienced all types of weather and the escarpment was just stunning, even with moody rain clouds and especially with the pink hues of a gorgeous sunset.

I thoroughly recommend this wonderful venue, we'll have amazing memories to last a life time thanks to Melross!

The two houses are stunning and perfect to accomodate 20 people on site. If you are after a country vibe wedding with a wow factor, we could not recommend Melross any more. We had our wedding here a month ago, and my what a stunning place to get married! The backdrop and surroundings speak for themselves, the Barn really suited our rustic theme for the reception also. It's great having the 2 houses on site for the bridal party and family to stay, whilst the other guests are nearby. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our wedding! Melross Farm is a venue that has it all - we loved having our family and friends stay on-site in the Millet and Rye houses, picturesque ceremony spots, beautiful big barn for reception and stunning backdrop of Kangaroo Valley.

Jordan and I are still floating from our wedding at Melross Farm on the weekend!!! We had the most incredible time - the venue is absolutely stunning and we are so grateful that we could enjoy the 2 houses that accommodated our entire bridal party and parents.

Terrene and John’s help during the planning process was excellent, and their son Lyndon was incredibly helpful on the day - nothing that we asked was ever too much.

We also chose to do an indoor ceremony in the barn (the first at Melross) which was a huge success - we can highly recommended!
