Burnt Sugar Restaurant

When cyclone Kirrily took out the electricity supply, and destroyed all their food, and my parents 50th wedding anniversary looked like being abandoned, the Owners and Manager at Burnt Sugar went above and beyond to make things work. This made my mother very happy and we are forever in their debt.

Had a fantastic time eating here. Great ambiance and music. 350g Rib Fillet was amazing, not to mention the little blonde host.

The food was amazing. Both meals, chicken and t-bone were cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth tender!

Wonderful food, very helpful and friendly service. Had a super-fresh catch of the day with a great white wine recommended by the staff.

Das Ambiente hat uns nicht sehr angesprochen und wir waren etwas skeptisch. Aber das Essen war wirklich super, toller Fisch und überlegte Kombinationen - wir können dieses Restaurant definitiv empfehlen.

Food was good we just had to ask for our steak to be cooked more we like med to well done and it was more like rare to medium.
Bed was good if you like soft
Room was clean

We had dinner for 2 the waitresses was very hard to understand did not speak a lot of English I ordered Pork belly and got pork short cut. No desserts at all a few slices of tarts something you would find at a coffee shop. A big let down for a up market restaurant. Would I go back probably not.

My partner and I went there for dinner on a Friday night. We walked in at 7:40 pm and the waitress said..."let me see if the kitchen is still open"...after 5 minutes, she walked out and walked straight passed us and said "you can sit there" and literally threw the menu on the table. We were shocked but decided to still dine there. We ended up being friendly to the waitress to see if she had a rough day and asked what time do they close ..she replied "whenever the last customer leaves". It is a pity that our experience was skewed be her stinky attitude at the start. Food wasn't bad at all but would have hoped to have a better service.
