Novotel Canberra

The hotel is so well located - especially if you are getting the coach to/from Canberra. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, the bed super comfortable. I'd recommend staying here.

I stayed here over the weekend, the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Great location, the room was spacious and extremely clean and tidy it was also quiet. Very comfortable bed and the breakfast was amazing.
Will be returning in future

I loved my stay at the Novotel. The hotel is aptly located in the city centre. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy. The hotel staff is extremely polite and extra warm. They also care about the environment and most of the products in the room are eco-friendly (no plastics!). A special mention for the staff at Novotel Canberra who go out of the way for the best customer experience. I checked out from the hotel at 5 am and someone at the hotel prepared a cafe latte especially for me even when the kitchen opening time was at 6:30 am. Thank you for being extra sweet and kind, and making me feel at home! Cheers!

We chose this hotel for the location and it was perfect. We had an upgrade to a one-bedroom unit, which was very comfortable, and we wished we were staying longer! Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we had the pool to ourselves for a while - very refreshing on a very hot day.

Close to everything. Room amenities were great. All staff were super friendly. Housekeeping staff are exceptional, very accommodating with our requests, especially Thy. Highly recommend this property.

The service through the whole hotel with the staff was brilliant and the location is even better specially with transport example the light rail. The pool was better than expected, rooms were very clean and tidy. couple of the staff were brilliant to help me find certain places to visit on my stay. Honestly, I’ll be back in the future :)

Free car park in the back of the hotel - in front of dominos.

Breakfast had good selection. Expected to have eggs as you wish, but they're charged.

During the holidays, the swimming pool may get packed. Good that it's indoor and you can enjoy anytime. Water is not too war, though - so you can run for the jacuzzi or the Sauna :)
Few but enough equipment in the gym.

First time to stay with Novotel Canberra.

Checkin and checkout both went smoothly.
Room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was ok, but the poached eggs were overdone. The self service coffee machines in the dining area produced terrible coffee. I purchased Barista made coffee in the restaurant area this was excellent.

I also had a barramundi dinner one evening after my meetings, which was very nice.

We had a lovely introduction from Tess on reception. She was very helpful and friendly. Great start to our trip to Canberra. Would recommend everyone staying here

Great room, thank you - although I would suggest rooms could be furnished with a lot more character. Breakfast was pretty good, although unfortunately some items in buffet were barely lukewarm (daily) - also no small plates were ever available for toast / pastries, and confusion about what coffee was included. Overall though great location and nice pool, sauna, spa area.

I was attending a conference and spent 2 nights. The room was very comfortable and I loved that shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and moisturiser was easily accessible. The food was amazing and the staff are very lovely.

Stayed again this May 2024. Still as good as before.
Just need to add that checking in and out is always a breeze. Anton at the reception is wonderful. He greeted with a beautiful smile as you stepped up the counter and was courteous and lovely all through the short interaction. Please keep lovely people like him, it adds points to a beautiful day. Thanks. 😊

2023 - Location is good. You are in front of the Alinga tram stop. Very near the city centre. From the hotel, cross the road then walk 2 short blocks and you're right in the middle of the city centre.
The room is spacious. A bit old but spacious. You have all the usual amenities you'll need. A coffee and tea bar. A fridge, small vault, iron and ironing board. The bathroom is clean, has the toilet amenities and a hair blower. It is a bit outdated but very clean, so still very good points there.
The restaurant is on the 1st floor. The buffet breakfast is $30 when you book it as you check in but costs $35 when you decide to avail it the following day. You get to have brekkie with the beautful view of Northbourne street.
Brekkie buffet is your usual Aussie choices of eggs, bacon, sausages, mushroom, tomatoes, baked beans, bread, waffles, pastries, fruits, cereals, coffee and juice, etc.

Only did an overnight stay but the experience was great, clean room, excellent restaurant. The only thing i did notice was the $32 parking fee which all the cars are jammed in really tight. Big cars struggled to maneuver. Overall very good experience

The location is fantastic with all public transport and buses to Sydney right at the footstep. The front desk staff was very warm and efficient and the entire stay from check-in to check-out was very smooth. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast buffet, beautiful spread, fresh and tasty food and so many options!! I would stay again, definitely more for the breakfast buffet, highly recommend.

Stayed here for a work training trip - beds are comfortable, facilities were great (gym, pool) and staff were friendly and professional. Rooms, are a little dated, but are clean and comfortable. would stay again.
