The Lockup Coffee House

If you find yourself misbehaving in the jetty, you might end up in the lockup here for a few days. At least that's back in the old days (probably). Nowadays, what used to be the court house is remodeled into a coffee house and a community centre. I came across the ladies weaving, and they were very kind to let us see how they're doing.

The coffee shop is a great place to stop by after a long walk in the jetty (which I never got to the end and is somewhere in my bucket list). The ladies running the show here are unbelievably nice and serve up a hearty sandwich and coffee.

Came here early on a Sunday and were treated with some fantastic service and top yahava coffee. The decor is superb set up inside an old court house and it’s a pleasure to sit outside on the busy Queen St and people watch. Close to the jetty and the foreshore this cafe is hard to beat in Busso. Will be back!

Great coffee and the ladies were very friendly. Located inside the historical old Court House and Post Office building. It’s a little bit of history combined with a little bit of relaxation. Well worth a visit on both counts.

Great service. Don't just grab a coffee this place has some history to share, walk through the old court house and check out the goal out the back along with a gift shop.

Refurbished cafe with pavement, veranda and indoor dining. Selling light meals, cakes, coffee, tea and ice creams. Parking is nearby and free. Good food and drinks delivered promptly and efficiently at reasonable prices. Close to the main ocean swimming area, children's area and grassed parks.

Always great service here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the coffee is on point 👌 A must visit if you are coming to town.
