Dawat-e-Punjab Indian Restaurant

Yesterday had a dinner . There food was so good . The environment was very nice. I love there butter chicken , dal makhni, Garlic naan and also the other curries. I had a take away before and the food quality was always same.

The waiter was very good and smiley face and the whole crew was very good and no tension about parking a lot off parking space.

Really good and very consistent take out. We've enjoyed several meals here now and they haven't missed a beat.
Friendly staff and pretty quick service, even on busy evenings.

Was our go-to takeaway when we lived nearby. The takeway meal deal for 2 is hard to beat for value. We usually mixed the curries up but the paneer options are always a good choice. Note that "medium" spice is on the lighter side, haven't tried a hot option to compare.

I don't usually like Indian food but after tonight's takeaway..omgoodness..it's the best ever..absolutely fantastic..I'm now a huge fan and will be ordering far more often ( far more than I should)

Had dinner last night. Food was as good as said. Their butter chicken, garlic naan was really up to my expectations. Definitely recommend for family dinner.

Amazing Indian food! Tastes balanced - not too sweet not too salty. They offer different levels of spiciness, great value and fast delivery. Butter chicken, tikka masala, tandoori chicken and eggplant potato curry were all amazing!

Can safely say this is one of the best restaurants / takeouts in Canberra the food is always spectacular, amazing flavor and even better service. Have been buying food from here for the past 2 years and have never been disappointed

They forgot to include the papadams. We called and immediately said they would send a driver to deliver the papadams. True to their word they delivered the papadams soon after and also added a complementary dessert!! Now that is service! We have bought take away from this restaurant many times and they have always been reliable. As a result of their response we will highly recommend this restaurant to others. Well done!

Absolutely the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten anywhere, me and my cousin decided we wanted an Indian meal so we decided to give this place a go, service was amazing, both of the hosts were smartly dressed, friendly and super professional and proud of their restaurant, we ordered both entree and mains and decided to go with the goat curry and a chicken dish with rice and naan’s. absolutely delicious and perfect portion sizes. Felt full and satisfied. This place is a definite must go to if your after a tasty Indian meal. Keep up the awesome work and super friendly service. Love it and will definitely be back again.

The staff here took the extra time to highlight all the menu items that my wife is able to eat within her new dietary restrictions and put it in the bag for us to have on the fridge. And the chefs go out of their way to alter foods to accommodate where possibly. We haven't had service like this at all in the last 6 months since the change and I'm so impressed! On top of that, the food is always consistently good.

We had the banquet for two this evening. The service was exceptional and very helpful as we needed food that was dairy free. Perfect portions and incredible flavour. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Will be back for sure. Thank you.

We’ve had takeaway from these guys a bunch and always really enjoy it, so we thought we would dine in tonight. The service was just as great as the food! Particularly found the coconut rice and mango lassi very delicious, wish we had enough room for dessert! The kids loved it too :)

First time we’ve ordered in from Dawat-E-Punjab and I cannot fault a single thing. The people were so polite on the phone, my order arrived on time, the portion size was much more than I’d expected (esp the goat curry), the food was hot and it was DELICIOUS!!!!
We had the chicken tikka, samosas, kadai chicken, special goat curry, rice and garlic naan. We asked for it to be medium spicy, it was perfect and tasted so authentic.
This is now my favourite Indian restaurant in Canberra and will be ordering from here more often.
Only regret - should’ve ordered dessert! 😂

I come here with my friends every fortnight. Highly recommended, especially the mains. I love mango chicken and saag. Serving portions are great.

Got takeaway from here and I think it was the best butter chicken I've had in many many years. The dinner for two is very good value, and although the curries are sauce heavy, there's more than enough food for two. So good. Will definitely get food from here again.

The food was amazing. Really rich in flavour. Best butter chicken I have ever had. The naan bread as exceptional too. I will definitely be back.
