Laverty Pathology

My experience was fantastic. So surprised to read these reviews. I guess it depends on who is on staff on the day. My phlebotomist was Veronica. The best blood test that I’ve ever had - and I have a needle phobia!! She’s not there every day.

Just had a blood test at Garran Laverty. Really nice facility, upstairs (but there is an elevator) and the guy was SO professional and efficient. He even dried the alcohol from the swab before taking the sample to prevent the sting. This was the first time I've tried here but I'll be back for any future pathology requirements.

Very professional and attentive staff. Never felt any pain when they took a sample of my blood. Staff who assisted was very calming and friendly

I appreciated the good service I received. Starting with the person who managed my initial enquiry/booking, they were efficient and pleasant to deal with.

Lizzy was amazzzzzzing. She did my COVID test in 2 seconds. Didn't hurt at all.

Friendly and efficient staff

During my visit today for a blood sample collection, a less experienced staff member initially attempted to draw blood from my right arm without confirming the vein, necessitating a senior nurse to perform the procedure on my left hand successfully. Additionally, I noticed that the setup and operation of the ECG machine did not meet the expected standards. These observations have raised concerns about the quality of care provided at this facility, suggesting a need for improved training and adherence to best practices to ensure patient comfort and safety.We aren’t genie pig, we are just not well!

Absolutely terrible service today 3/5/2024. waited 1 hour 40 minutes to get into the into the sample room, only to listen to the nurse whinge she hadnt had lunch, then say they couldnt do it as they couldnt read the paperwork, only one person taking samples in a busy centre, Went to Laverty in Phillip, straight in and no issues reading the same paperwork. Poor effort in customer service.

Understaffed and poorly managed, go absolutely anywhere else if you can. Arrived just as they opened with one person in front of me and waited an hour before I had to go to work.

Opening hours are also incorrect and not updated

Staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. They are from India or Nepal. They speak all the time in a different language than English in front of patients.
Please make sure they speak only in English

Go elsewhere. Longest wait I’ve ever had and the pathologist had an awful manner. Do not waste your time. Read the reviews first and save yourself an hour by going somewhere else!!! Also, the pathologist didn’t change her gloves 🤮
