We visited this scenic place which has a gigantic mural on the dam wall. The walk down to the viewpoint is pretty steep and not accessible by those on a wheelchair. The dam wall is also walkable though we did not go down there. We enjoyed the view and mural and this place is well worth the visit.

Huge dam, worth the stop if you around.
Amazing scenery. They were doing some works / renovations so could not go down.

Nearby place to visit is the Gnomsville - can be planned as a same trip.

Wonderful mural art work - massive area.
A credit to the area as a tourist attaction let along the enguinity of surveyors at the time to decide on the location to build a dam wall on existing rock. The artistic talent of the painter to do such fine work that tells the story of local people of the area.
World class.

Loved it here. Super peaceful. Not worth a single day trip but worth a look if you're near the area. The surrounds are beautiful I love long pool and the circuit is excellent. Looks like there's a really lovely couple of campgrounds near here that we'll definitely be looking into. Genuinely a very cool new West Aussie attraction.

Absolutely amazing mural, its somthing that is even more impressive when seen with your own eyes, theres a great viewing platform with lots of parking next door and a cafe just down the road.
You can also drive right under the dam and stop and take photos.
Really worth seeing just once, just come on a nice sunny day as the colours pop a lot more.
Well worth the 2 hour trip from Perth!

Absolutely incredible mural on the dam wall a must see if travelling in the area, not to mention a beautiful location, and if you follow the river downstream, there are many beautiful swimming holes.

We’ve stayed overnight on many occasions on different areas around the dam - All beautiful. Potters Gorge is located near the dam where you can book a campsite. Toilet facilities and picnic areas are available there also. But we normally take the swags and just drive until we see a spot we’d like to explore and just set up camp. Make a day trip if you don’t want to spend the night and enjoy all recreational water activities. Jetski, boating, kayaking are all allowed. At night when everything have settled let the kids shout out over the waters and their voices will echo back at them... the water is beautiful and clean - just perfect for swimming. At night you can see the flash lights of other campers walking down the dam looking for some crabs. Sleeping under the stars with the nightlife in the background is all you need for a great nights rest. You will not be disappointed.
As far as I know pets aren’t allowed.

A lovely drive through magnificent forest country leads to the wall of the Wellington dam and the huge mural created by Guido van Helten. It is a sight to behold! There are low level and high level viewing places, and a picnic lunch in the landscaped old granite quarry is very peaceful.

Beautiful mural, great lookout, interesting history displayed on boards which gives you an in-depth understanding of the era and all the people who built the dam. The quarry next door is stunning and a lovely spot with lawns for picnics. Good sealed road in.

A great spot to visit that is super easy to get to. A lovely place for a BBQ or nice bush walk with plenty of wildlife and picturesque spots along the river. There are also camping spots a reasonably short distance down the road which makes for the ideal getaway.

Spring is a great time to visit, n the mural on the Dam is totally worth it. The drive there is also lovely, make it part of an extended trip or a dedicated picnic around the Dam, you will not be disappointed.

This incredible mural is painted across the entire width and height of the Wellington Dam wall. Without a doubt, this is a world class piece of art. The sheer scope and magnitude of this undertaking is magnificent. I highly recommended a visit to check this out.

Beautiful! Even more amazing with the artwork on it.

Well worth a very beautiful drive it’s just a shame about the bright orange bollards blocking the bridge so you can drive over it but you can go through the fence in between them so they don’t ruin your photos 😉

Extraordinary work of art on the dam wall of Wellington dam. The second largest dam in Western Australia, fed by the Collie River. Mural completed in 2021 by Guido van Helton. Titled "Reflections"

Loved it!! A must visit. The 8000 square metre mega-mural - 'Reflections', is the World's largest dam mural. It took four months to complete and features images of Collie mines workers, families playing in the water, Aboriginal children and other scenes taken from actual photographs of Collie's history.
