Easy access, clean and spacious camp ground. Perfect during winter months as the site comes with fire ring! Came here twice for fishing/kayaking, and this place does not disappoint.

This campsite within Wellington National Park nestles on shores of Wellington Dam.

It is a beautiful location.
You need to bring all of your own drinking water though as the dam water is not treated and therefore not suitable for drinking.

There are fire pits available for use during the cooler months, so take your own firewood as collection is illegal in National Parks.

Good dam to spend the day. Drive the car right up to the shore line (4wd not need, but recommended driving further down the dam.) Boat launch not too far off the bitumen road. The water is warmer than other dams/rivers in Collie area (for example Honeymoon Pool) Remember to bring some shade.

Great location . Really big plots per caravan. Note for future visitors plot 20 is very uneven and difficult for a small/ medium van to get levelled. Plots 16,15,14,13 and 5 are the best. Dead flat and heaps of room. Toilet were clean, dam is 5 min walk from campsite. No drinking water, minimal mozzies in March but there were a few small spiders dropping from the trees 🤔. All up great spot which I will be returning to in the future.

Wonderful place, has everything for a real camping experience. We kayaked on the water, played cricket on the beach. And even the bird wildlife got up close enough to take a piece of bread to eat. Worth the drive.

Very quite relaxing campground, all the amenities are clean and functional, most campsites are shady and cool… great place to escape Perth heat…

the best place to camp in collie!
We absolutely love coming here to get away and have a break from routine.
Sites are huge with so much shade
Highly recommend visiting.

Tips:
Bring more water then you think you need - no running water
No power - so allow for that
Tents - ground is SUPER hard on the sites closest to the water so bring a drill to help with the tent pegs or bring sand bags.

Nice camp site. Well lay out. We had a dozen or so camping over the weekend in June of 2020 . Toilet and cooking facilities.

I can't really think of anything I would improve here. Possibly the sites are close together but that's just nit-picking.
The dam is a fantastic relief from the daytime heat. The facilities are clean and perfectly functional. The day area/picnic area can get a little busy during the weekends, but that's to be expected.
Safe swimming almost anywhere.

Great little camp site amongst the forest by the dam. There are power boats and occasional 4wd hoons but we still enjoyed some canoeing and swimming in the dam. There are walk trails here down to honeymoon pool. Can be closed so check DPAW website. Gorgeous Blue Wrens bounce around in the evenings. No dogs! **update** MTB trails now open and the kiosk at the dam is more functional, albeit with limited trading hours.

enjoyed every second!
we stayed there on off-season so it was so peaceful and quiet, i couldn't believe it. there was no wind, no people, no sound but birds and the lake was stunning.
facilities were clean and bbq available, but we didn't use it.
we walked along the "beach" towards the dam, i can recommend that. dam is damn beautiful. took the sika walking trail back, easy one.
we saw some black cockatoos! impressiv :)
