Black Diamond Lake

On a Sunday morning we left home just before 7am, and it took us about 2.5hrs to arrive at Black Diamond Lake.
When we arrived there were only 5 or 6 other cars. By the time we set up our picnic area, at least another 10 cars had arrived.
My advice is if you want a good park by the water, arrive early. It's totally worth it.
We found an area that was under a tree and just by the water.
All I kept thinking to myself was "feel the serenity."
Being surrounded by beautiful nature was just so peaceful.
It's definitely worth the drive.

Beautiful!! Very deep, so don't go swimming if you are not confident. Man made so next to no fish. Plenty of parking space, but you can't camp here. (There are plenty of places to camp nearby though). Ice cream truck came on the Sunday.

Beautiful, tranquil place to swim and paddle board; or just sit and enjoy a wonderful lake view.

Great place to just pull up and have a dip to cool off from the current hot weather, also nice to relax and picnic, very picturesque location

The colour of the lake is just spectacular! Easy access and not too far from Perth, highly recommend! Just heed the advice of when it is safe to swim

This place is amazing the water is super blue not to many spots to get in steep inclines so if you bring kids just keep your eye on them

We've visited black Diamond Lake several times before but not stayed for a swim. Today we visited and found the water colour a much more beautiful green than we've seen before. Plus it wasn't very busy so we had a nice pocket with an easy to get to beach - all to ourselves. Dropped off very deep where we were, so not for little toddlers (in this section).
Beautifully natural and surrounded by big trees (unlike Stockton, which is stunning in a man-made way), this is a big lake with many access points to the water.
And easy to get to, just off the main road in Allanson.

This place is beautiful for a day time swim or kayak but bear in mind not to dip your head into the water/drink the water.

This place is also awesome for astrophotography. However, be careful as there are people that scavenge for food in the dumpsters in this area at night. Could be dangerous.

Beautiful spot to swim and have a picnic. DON'T DIVE, DON'T PUT THE HEAD UNDER WATER. We didn't check the signs and we could've got meningitis since there's this dangerous seaweed in the water.

Absolutely amazing.
The water is so warm, the scenery is awesome and it's a great place to spend the day with the kids. A lot of photo opportunities too.

Can get busy, so come a little earlier to get a good spot, but really, it's all about getting in the water and staying there most of the day.

What a tranquil day out.
Good rope swing for the kids, perfect water for swimming, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.
U can take pets as well.
Pull up and grab a prime spot!

Small lake with clean waters for doing Paddle boats or just enjoy the serene nature. Peaceful place with not much crowd...

Cool water body. Best in summer for a swim. Few small nooks to park and enjoy the view from your own car.

It's hard to describe just how blue this lake is and it is just something you have to see in person. Just as I grabbed this photo, a woman in a blue dress emerged from the lake like Samara from The Ring. So we high tailed it out of there, I ain't down with that.

The water is shallow & if you don’t know how to swim, be careful. There is not rangers or life guard at the area.
