We saw the roadsign and decided to have an impromptu visit to this old sheep sheering station. What a good decision. Luckily we had our swimming gear as The Artisan hot tub was a welcome surprise. It is fed by a hot spring or borehole and supplies water at 40 Deg C. I could only stay in there for about 3 minutes before I had to bail. The sheep sheering station itself is well preserved and accompanied by information signs so you can absorb the history of the place. Saw some local wildlife too.

Arrived after lunch. Large carpark was empty.

We strolled happily around the station. There were helpful signs to guide us and it was easy to imagine the farm as it was 50 years ago.

All in all, a very pleasant and informative visit. The scenery and the buildings spoke for themselves.

Amazing place! You must stop over, have a look around the small museum there as well as the old buildings and most importantly the amazing hot tub. The hot tub is a hot 40 degrees so see how you go with staying in there. The water is from a bore and it comes out this temperature, it’s so amazing. We were here at 12pm no one was around we had a lovely lunch (BBQs and toilets are here) and soak. The drive in is slightly sandy but easy for a 4WD which we have, maybe even a 2WD if you are confident with these types of conditions.

The precinct is on the edge of the 2WD road in Francois Peron National Park. Like the other National Parks there is an entry gate at the entrance. The road isn't sealed but can be driven down in 2WD until the signage for 4WD only. The opening status of the park can be seen at the Sharks Bay Heritage and Discovery center in Denham.
This is the only 2WD accessible area in the national park and is worth a stop.
It consists of old buildings which show what life was like back in the day. the entrance building shows project Eden, the restoration of the natural area. There are quite a few tracks which lead to different areas including the hot tub. They all join up so you should be able to see it all. The hot tub area also has a large lawn and BBQ facilities.
I enjoyed walking through the ruins of the old sheep yard. It was interesting to see particularly the wool station. We also got lucky and saw some emus walking around the area.
i thought it was quite an interesting stop with quite a lot to see and learn about.

It is a great site. Good to learn about the history of the place. Funny to have a dip in the hot tub with 40 degrees when it's 34 outside. We had a beautiful time.

4WD definitely required. Reduce tyres to 20psi and travel at 40kms for an excellent drive. Ensure to take approx 9lt water for a day trip and drop box toilets clean and available. Plenty to see and do for a full days experience. Respect the area and take your rubbish away with you.Plenty of camping spots

A very interesting place showing the history of settlement of the area. Remains of early sheep farming, shearing sheds & shearers accommodation are great for people to look at, and to understand the obstacles and to see the difficulties, experienced by the early pioneers.

The 4km of unsealed was a bit more nasty than I expected after some rain, but east in a SUV, the artesian bath is fantastic, lots of good info on the project Eden and info on the homestead, if u have a suitable car venture up for 30min

If a 40c hot tub in the baking heat of WA is your thing, then head here. At the end of a lovely 2wd road before the real sand tracks kick in, this place is as quirky as it gets. Enter slowly and soak for a few times. I swear that I actually felt cool for a while when I got out.
There is other stuff too but after the tub I was too relaxed to bother.

Great way to complete our day trip. 38 degrees, sounds hot, get straight in and relax. Open 24/7.

Great spot for a BBQ. We arrived in the afternoon to cook some sausages. Found 2 BBQs kept in fantastic condition, next to a roomy wooden table under a shelter.

Took our time eating the fruits of our labour and enjoyed the afternoon sun, which was strong and bright all the way till 5pm.

Definitely worth the drive out even if you don't have a 4wd, easy to drive unsealed road to enter but doable in a motorhome. Hot tub is HOT - up to 40 degrees - which was great on a chilly day. Short loop walk shows the old sheep station and some info about the history and how it operated.

Great fun 4WD track and beautiful views from Cape Peron and Skipjack Point.
And dip in the very hot tub on the way out was lovely.

Wonderful chance to see what conditions were like 100 years ago in remote Australia. Can't imagine the hardship endured by families hundreds of miles from civilization.

Great place to stop. The 40 degree water temperature is a shock until you get used to it.
