We love this place. Walked all the way down the end of the tidal land and walked back. From the bushes and walked close, also from under the pavilion you can see many fishes and other creatures too. We even saw some crabs. Might also be a good place to fish here.

great beach, peace and beautiful. A lot of small fish. Quite suit for snorkeling learners. Strong recommend! You’re better to Pin the location as Mia cafe. It is a moved cafe van.

We stopped by after seeing it on the way to Monkey Mia. The lagoon is just outside Denham.
We stopped at the parking area but it looked like you are able to head further into the beach with a 4WD.
The lagoon has toilets as well as a shaded bench area. The beach surrounds the entire lagoon and it is so calm and beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see the patches of grass or rock under the surface. The water did have a chill to it but would be amazing during summer. The clear water and fine sand makes it quite relaxing.
There are also sea creatures inside the lagoon which makes it even more interesting. We saw some hermit crabs while strolling along the shore. There are also rock fish in there so be careful with those.

Really scenic and, being a lagoon, flat and calm. Great for kids. Some of the shells can be sharp though so pack reef shoes if you've got them - but you'll survive if you don't.

Lovely lagoon! Crystal clear water. I visited during Easter and School holidays and still very few people there. No flies! Beautiful spot to relax, walk on the beach. If you have a 4WD, you can park your car on the sand and relax.

I heard during the Aquarium tour that little lagoon has a lots of stonefish so I didn’t swim this time.

A very beautiful lagoon with bright colors (blue and green), and the blue sky and white clouds look like a painting.

Such a magical spot. It is huge and you can even 4WD to the water edge to spend a day there. The toilets were good and there was a great amount of parking for all, it does get quite busy near the main shelters/carpark but you can walk further away or drive to find your own spot on the beach if you have the appropriate car. The water is super clear and shallow near the edge, it gets deeper the more you go out for a good snorkel! You can even do a lovely walk around it on low tide.

Very beautiful scene when you get bored with the ocean view. Both river and the lake itself worth going.

Amazing salt water lagoon. Easy access by car, warmer water than the ocean, calmer wind. Very family friendly, with a couple of gas BBQ and toilets available along the beach.

Little Lagoon is a beautiful stretch of calm water ideal for swimming and fishing in the, only five kilometres from Denham.

A perfect day out for the whole family on the sandy beach (that surrounds the whole lagoon), watch for bird life, swim in the clear shallow water or try a spot of fishing for yellowfin whiting, flathead or yellowfin bream.

Drive from Denham or alternatively take the Lagoon Point walk trail, approximately 45mins walk from Denham.

The lagoon has toilet facilities and shaded bench areas. Please be aware, avoid stepping on any stonefish, maybe take some reef shoes.
