Our family had the pleasure of enrolling our kids at Offshore Surf School (Surfgroms) and the experience exceeded our expectations. The team's friendliness and motivation were truly remarkable. As a mother, witnessing the passion from the staff was not only heartwarming but also contagious – it makes you want to surf!

Their friendly approach and motivational spirit turned every lesson into a joyous experience. It's evident that they genuinely love what they do, and that passion resonated with our children.

What a brilliant 2 hours for my 14 year old daughter and friend. The teachers were oozing enthusiasm in a very genuine way. I particularly liked the focus on the educational side about the water, rips, safety, even prior to the actual day of the lesson. They had a ball and it was 2 full hours they will remember well.

We are a family of four with kids aged 11 and 8. Over two days, mum and our 11 year old did a two hour lesson with TJ and Koda in Inverloch and the next day dad and both kids went back for another lesson in Venus Bay. The videos and quiz were great and the instructors made it super safe, encouraging and really tailored the coaching for all abilities. The kids found it fun to meet Shane the founder after having watched the videos! We’re looking forward to the opportunity to learn again next year!

TJ and his team were fantastic yesterday. My little brother and I went for a surf lesson and it was a great time! All coaches were friendly, helpful and excellent teachers. Would recommend them for anyone learning how to surf!

I had my first surf lesson with Coda and TJ this week and what an amazing experience! I loved the pre- session learning meaning we got right into it faster and Coda and TJ are so encouraging and fun - super aw some dudes and for a 56 year old starting for the first time - their enthusiastic and expert help makes all the difference - can’t wait for my next lesson - thanks guys! Oh by the way, the wetsuits are very high quality and I was so lovely and comfortable I could have stayed in the water all day even though Rusty the Gusty wind was roaring through the surf that day… and it’s still early November!

Had a private lesson with Shane and and got my confidence back getting up on my board. The teaching and instructions were great.

My daughter and I had a great experience - our first time surfing. The instructors were excellent, very encouraging and making sure that everyone was being looked after. The training and tips were great, we were both able to stand up and catch some waves.

We are both planning to come back for another lesson.

Great surf lesson from Shane and TJ. They were able to give me some really good advice as I’m trying to learn how to surf. Shane even saw me in the water the next day and gave me some more pointers and help even though I wasn’t apart of the lesson. Genuinely seems to care about your surf progression, thanks heaps and hopefully see you guys again if we’re back around Inverloch!

Attended my first group lesson with these guys last Sunday and had an absolute ball! They are very organised and ran the session very well. They paid attention to everyone in the group and tailored their advice to the individual. I felt very comfortable in the water with multiple instructors around to provide support. I learnt so much in a short space of time and was catching waves in my first lesson - thanks for an awesome session!

Have been taking groups of young people to Offshore for many years and it’s always been amazing. Today I took a small group for a family surf lesson with Bones at Sandy Point. Our kids were in awe. They were treated to an unforgettable experience, and given a real push with Bones sharing his knowledge, respect and generosity. Bones is one of a kind and his passion is evident in everything he does. Way more than just a surfing lesson.

What can I say! Shane was an absolute legend. Hired surfboards, kayaks, the lot from him and they were all fantastic

The coaches were so friendly and the big man Shane gave me some killer tips to catch waves. Offshore Surf School was a huge help in my surfing journey and would 100% hire again.

First of all, Offshore Surf School deserves a big round of applause. 👏🏻
Anyway, I think it was excellent! The teachers were very friendly and helped me surf for the first time!

If there’s a parent out there, don’t worry about your child! The surfboards have straps on them to tie to your child’s leg to prevent them falling off the surfboard!

The wetsuits they provide you with are a bit uncomfortable at first, but they stop you from getting hypothermia offshore. As you surf, you’ll get used to the wetsuit as well as the gargantuan waves!
Finally, I have to say that this was a fabulous experience with Offshore Surf School and I hope to pay a visit to them again soon!!! 😊

My nephew just completed the "Surf Groms" program and had an amazing time! It's his second year and he'll be beck again next year! The coaches are awesome, working to make sure everyone gets the best experience (even if you're not a natural surfer). Thanks for another great summer experience!!!

Had a week of lessons for my teenage daughter and couldn’t fault the care and attention she got. All the staff were fabulous, warm and friendly and most of made the experience a positive one while extending and pushing her to gain more skills. Loved it!!

Could not praise these guys more with the teaching, enthusiasm and attention they gave my 2 boys. Great lads and a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

Such a fantastic experience. Coaches were amazing and made sure everyone in the group got up and was surfing by the end of the lesson. We will be back again and again.

We had an amazing time. We started as complete beginners and ended up being able to stand. Steve and Alex were legends, very patient and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
