Doughballs Pizza

Beautifully located restaurant with a perfect beach vibe. Clean open kitchen facing the front where chefs can be seen preparing meals fresh. The venue has a mezzanine with an outdoor terrace and customers can enjoy the view of the iconic mosley square and the beach. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. A special highlight was Amanda who is a lovely waitress and you can tell she loves her job because she came to check on us a few times if everything was good and had a good knowledge of the menu and drinks too. Food was fresh and warm and the dough had the perfect crunch and softness simultaneously. If the one thing I would point out would be the quality of the burratta as it was a bit lose and milky rather than creamy and stretchy by which i mean it wasn’t a high quality stracciatella filling in the cheese and maybe trying out some other good brands is something the chefs might want to consider. Having said that this wouldn’t discourage us from going back because it’s absolutely worth it.

It's hard to find a place that has great food for adults and young kids. Doughballs is definitely the place to keep everyone happy!

(Carer) Took my blind client here for dinner and all the staff we interacted with were so lovely. Super friendly and very accomodating to any request. The food and drinks were served in a timely manner and they were very attentive to make sure we had what we needed and informed us if they were popping downstairs for a moment to do something. Great giving recommendations, and the blinds were put down plus offered to put heater on the veranda when the wind picked up so we didn’t get cold. We were enjoying the pizza and atmosphere so much that we did not realise we’d stayed 30 minutes past closing time. Our sweet waitress had not rushed us out or anything. Staff had let us take our time and all wished us a good night when we left.

I had my sons birthday dinner there We had the “feed me menu” the staff communicated very well and clear on how it worked with the kids menu/adults the pizzas were honestly the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had so yum!
The staff even created a complimentary dough balls dessert for my son and sung happy birthday it was just perfect 👍 definitely will be coming back thank you too everyone working that night.
HIGHLY thanking Nisa I communicated with her via email to arrange the booking and from the get go she was attentive and made sure we were looked after all night and everything was a breeze

I was just saying to my partner that we needed to find our "go to" pizza joint. Pizzas that were actually good for the price point. Safe to say we both agreed we had found it after our dinner at Doughballs Glenelg tonight. Staff were cool (I made a mistake with my booking and came on the wrong day, oops - so accomodating anyway) and you really can't complain about the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

We love Doughballs, especially the one at Moseley Square in Glenelg which is just a short walk from home for us. We’ve been there a few times and are never disappointed with the quality of food and the exceptional and friendly service. It’s just a great laid back place to enjoy good food with family and friends.

Love coming here with the family for pizza, especially the various Pizzata choices. So good 🥇

Our waitress Sammy was absolutely outstanding! The food was amazing and for how busy they were on new year's eve, not a very long wait at all for food. The food itself, omg it was so so good! Will definitely be back.

So we had entree serves. I had gluten free option and my friend had doughballs. The pesto was delicious and the gluten free bread they used was awesome.
Plan on going back there.

Had a family dinner on a recent Friday night at Doughballs Pizza Glenelg and was lucky enough to score an upstairs balcony table on a beautiful mild evening. The doughballs starter platter was very delicious and generous. The pizzas on the pizzata bases were excellent, with lots of topping and full of flavour. Service was friendly and timely. Doughballs Glenelg is a great spot for a casual meal

My family and I had a fabulous lunch today, the meals were amazing, the best gf pizza base I’ve ever had! So delicious! My 18month old daughter also had the kids meal deal with 3 courses and I have never seen her eat so much while out. She absolutely loved it! The view over Glenelg beach is incredible too. The facilities are also very baby/toddler friendly with colouring pencils/paper and a fully functional, clean nappy change room. Staff were also all super friendly and willing to help. Wonderful experience.

Very fast friendly service in a lovely set out restaurant, tasty pizza & delicious dessert platter will definitely be back 😋 the kids meal was great value also 3 course. It was at Mawson Lakes restaurant

Drinks were amazing!! Lana was really nice and helpful in explaining the menu, and made amazing drinks inspired by Sandy. Lana was such a sweet lady!! Pizza was a bit greasy 🥲 but overall a great meal!! Dough ball thing was yummooo

Great service & food.

We had the Baked Garlic Mozzarella Doughballs to start with, and then we each had a different pizza: Carbonara Pizzatta, Spicy American with Jalapenos and the Cajun Chicken Pizza Lite (this had a hole in the centre & had a salad in it). Followed up by Choc Cinnamon Doughballs.

The service was great from entering and right up to when we left. The staff looked as though they enjoyed working together also.

Dough balls Glenelg wonderfully accommodated our large (and noisey) group of ten year olds. Fantastic value for money - all the kids loved their food. We’ll be back!

Awesome food and service, we loved it so much we went twice in our 6 night stay!
Reasonably priced and good portions, highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for great food.

Great service, great value and family friendly. Super yummy food! The lasagne was sooo good but a large serving so I happily got to take some home! 😊 Drinks and everything else including kids menu was yummy also, will need to come back to try more! Oh and the dough balls with garlic butter I could snack on all day! 👌

We went for lunch with my wife and daughter. We have an amazing service and good food. But really highlights the service we just have, definitely we could come back again

Went to bottomless brunch thing. Very much hope this is a regular event. Amazing service from jace? Jack? One of the male waitors. Very quick to attend to things and check everything was all good at every table and ask if there was anything he could do - the one minor alteration I asked he made happen so 10/10 there! Gold star treatment.

The doughballs... we both found them to actually be overcooked and not worth eating... they probably would have bounced. And the fruits accompanying... bit confusing when some are 95% frozen and my gums hurt because the massive inviting strawberry is unbeknownst to me, frozen... yet other fruits and other strawberries are warm ?? Not sure what the ambition of the food here was but I truly cannot in any capacity recommend what I personally had - French toast doughballs... it's nothing like doughballs and closer to fried dough.... but hard and would honestly bounce ... a shame really :(

The pizza - amazing. We'll be back for that. It's nice how thin it is with just the right amount of toppings. And if you don't want some toppings - never fear, they're non judgemental and will cater to you (even if your req confuses them momentarily) honestly one of the better pizzas I've had lately. I didn't actually take a pic as I was immersed... chatting away and it's an experience in itself (and they had live music) not sure if thats a regular thing but it made for a nice ambience... they serve the pizzas on a metal plate out the oven & with a pizza cutter - so there's some DIY cutting involved - if you want massive slices, go for it! If you want tiny slices, go for it! Perhaps not an activity for little ones under 10 though.

Absolutely prefect kids meals are on point and value for money. Loved it will be back again.

Doughballs went above and beyond to accommodate our large party easter Sunday. With litteral last.minute changes to numbers, I miss counted, they where amazing. Food was amazing atmosphere amazing everything amazing. Thank you for making the night special and we will of course be back. Keep doing what your doing 👏
