Townsend Creek Circuit

The Townsend Creek Circuit, located on the eastern outskirts of Inverloch is a great walk and opportunity to take in the panorama of the estuary. Most of the walk is relatively flat and accessible by either car via the foreshore camp grounds or a walk in off the beach. The last section is hilly and would be challenging for a wheel chair given intermittent stairs and steeper access. There are plenty of opportunities to take photographs, including Townsend Bridge; views back towards Inverloch from about half way up the Bluff; at the top of the Bluff; and a rather interesting tree on the way down, depending on which way you choose to go. I highly recommended this walk.

I love this circuit. You can enter by driving/walking through the camping ground (there's a little parking at the end) or by walking in along the beach from the Dog Walking beach on The Esplanade and heading away from town. Watch for a couple of large stone steps on your left. Paths are well maintained, look out onto the beach and the inlet here and there, and if you do the circuit itself (only a couple of km on its own) there is a lovely view of the bay. A few hills, but nothing insurmountable. If you're fond of a wander, this is a lovely one.

Mostly referred to as the Screw Creek Walk, this is the best walk in Inverloch. It takes about 40 minutes if you are not carrying a camera. Plenty to see and photograph on this nature walk.

Short distance, but good views everywhere along the track. It would be the best bush walking circuit for families in Inverloch area.

Beautiful walk with many changes of scenery and vegetation. I took a toddler who loved it and managed to walk the 2km ok. Great views of Venus bay and the inlet.

Nice short walk starting from the carpark located at the end of the beach front camping area.

Great walk gravel path and in places a boardwalk. If you go quietly you may see some wild life.

If you don't like crabs or feel uneasy walking on potential crabs, i would HIGHLY suggest you stay away.

The beach is cool and watching the crabs is decent fun. if you are in the are, its defenitely worth a look :)

This is a relatively short walk with a board walk, river crossing, some climbing and you get great coastal views
