The Grand Hotel Warrandyte

Well, what an incredible experience.
Walking through the door just after 12.30pm, we were greeted by two staff who made my partner and me feel as if we were the special guests, with smiles and a lovely welcoming. The young lady gave us the menu and we proceeded to a table facing Yarra street.
It was explained where to order our food and our drinks. We only had a very light lunch. Wahgu beef sliders. They were absolutely delicious. The menu isn’t terribly complicated nor is it large, but every plate we saw coming from the kitchen looked like the crew in the kitchen care about their products and trade.
At the bar, the bar tender was just as welcoming as those at the door. Smiles and enthusiasm. When the sliders arrived (again with a huge smile) they looked and tasted magnificent.
It is clearly an establishment that has a great management team that look after their people.
We were so impressed with our experience at The Grand and would recommend it every day.

Amazing venue for dining indoors and outdoors no matter the weather, super friendly staff and some seriously delicious food with seasonal menu specials. Also have a great range of beers on tap for those true beer lovers. Short stroll across the road to the Yarra river as well so you can make a day out of it. Definitely recommend dining in at the grand Warrandyte for a burger and beer.

A glorious pub to visit. Lots of different rooms and places to eat. Service was also every good and the food was astonishingly good. I got the chicken curry and was excellent.

They made our celebration all the more special with their readiness to assist and their genuinely friendly demeanour.

In terms of pricing, the hotel sits comfortably in the average range. Considering the ample portions and the quality of service, we felt we received excellent value for our money.

The hotel also offers an impressive venue for weddings, boasting two large areas upstairs, one of which overlooks the main road and river, making for a picturesque backdrop.

I recently dined at this pub that had garnered quite a reputation for its chicken parma. While I found the chicken parma to be a bit overrated and not quite up to the hype, the experience was significantly elevated by the exceptional staff and the fantastic ambiance of the venue.

The chicken parma, which had been touted as a must-try, unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The flavor was decent, but the dish seemed to lack the wow factor I had anticipated. Despite the disappointment in the main course, the rest of the dining experience was truly enjoyable.

The staff at the pub were undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring guests have a great time were truly commendable. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and catered to, turning what could have been a lackluster meal into a memorable visit.

Very good food and lovely setting. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, sitting in the sun and enjoying food and drink.

The location is very picturesque. Great place to go to meet with friends or enjoy some family time.

If you sit outside, be careful of the wasps. There were quite a few hanging around. I kept a menu and waved them off when they came near.

It's such an amazing place! We came to this gorgeous town to visit some friends and they bought us here for dinner! The food was just amazing! Hubby had the steak, and I had the salmon. Both meals were delicious! Right across the road is the stunning Yarra river, so we went for a nice long walk at sunset to finish off an amazing evening!

Great country pub, excellent service and a very good menu, we were made to feel very welcome. Good range of beers on tap, plenty of great seating options. We'll worth the drive out. Highly recommended.

Such a lively pub with great vibes here. Not to mention their new menu items were incredibly delicious. Portions were very generous! I loved the Arancini, tacos and chicken Parma! It’s a must 👌

Such a lively pub, loved the atmosphere, nice outdoor sitting area, yummy chicken parma and hamburger, loved the tender steak, and the margarita pizza was out of this world for the vegeterians. Great place to hang out with friends for food and drink.

Very busy Hotel for good reason. Great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff with great food options even if you have dietary restrictions. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended.

I had my wedding here in the Riverview room. It was such a beautiful experience and I have so much gratitude and appreciation for the staff. They did an outstanding job organizing the space and following up on details for the big day. The food was amazing! We had a cocktail style wedding and people told me after that they had more than enough food and loved trying everything. I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel as an affordable and beautiful space for events. It felt elegant but also comfortable and spacious enough for 80 guests.

These guys are amazing!! We needed some last minute help with our event for another venue close by and they offered immediate support. Most of our staff are all their regular customers and they love their food and service! God bless them all!!! 10 stars and over!!

We had our engagement here at the riverview room and it was absolutely incredible. The staff were amazing throughout the whole process. The room was absolutely beautiful.They made the night easy and everything was fantastic.

One of our favourite spots. Lots of food options and great food. Always live music on a Sunday arvo. Sitting on the outdoor deck is a dream.

Getting a bit on the pricey side. Food was great quality but not a pub meal any more. It has gone from a weekly outing to a special occasion outing at these prices and that is ok. Had dessert at home to fill up as the portions were a touch on the light side. Still the quality was great. The back room where the gaming machines were. Was a bit sterile and not date night worthy. Needs a touch more character and atmosphere than a big plasma tv. With the promo billboard going all the time I felt like I was in a telly commercial and not next to the stunning Yarra in Warrandyte.

Came to Warrandyte today for lunch as I’ve always wanted to stop at the Grand Hotel. It did not disappoint. We ordered the tiger prawn linguini and chicken Parma and both were absolutely delicious. Great, friendly service as well. Highly recommend and cannot wait to come back.

Very nice place and atmosphere, scrumptious food and friendly service. They even provided water for our dog, nice touch. Will return
