Collie Hospital

Just had a procedure by a surgeon at collie hospital to day the staff were so warm & friendly I felt like I've known them for ever thankful for making me see the good side of people thanks missed it thanks.

I attended the emergency department today for a kidney infection. Thank you to Antony and the two young ladies who came on at 7.30. I am in my 70s and I was treated with total respect and my problem was handled with a resolve and I am now resting at home. Our little Collie Hospital is amazing all the way. Thank you once again. I was transferred back to Collie Hospital after the intensive cared I need and I've been pleasantly surprised at the difference a country town hospital is to a city hospital. Collie Hospital, in my opinion should be at the top of the ladder when it comes to admin, nursing staff, hospital food and general Hospital care. I haven't been in many hospitals in my lifetime but Collie Hospital, without a doubt is the best. I won't mention na pomeshankyou to all the staff that tended to me.

Had a colonoscopy and endoscopy,everybody was fantastic,great staff and a good job done by all…Cheers

The vast majority of the nursing staff were very friendly and helpful, though one lady, I could not understand a single word she was saying and I'm usually pretty good with people who have English as a second language 😠 Being unable to make head nor tail of what she was asking me, I became concerned that I could unwittingly be giving her false information, possibly leading to improper medication and care etc, so I spoke to another nurse to make sure it was correct later on (thanks MS) 👍

Being a newly diagnosed diabetic, I felt that provision of some sort of guidance - perhaps in the form of an information package - would have been far more beneficial than me trying to muddle through by myself and consequently waste precious funds when buying an unsuitable glucometer because I wasn't told about NDSS, their recommendations and subsidies.

The tea ladies were fantastic, all except one 😡 and she needs to be more mindful of how she speaks to patients, especially those with special dietary requirements.

On the whole I think Collie Hospital is pretty darn good - thank you everyone 😘 ~xx~

Food there is very good. Nurses? Well, some you see now and then during daytime hours. At night, they just sit in their office and wait for someone to press a button. An easy job with no intensive care facilities on site. For someone who cannot sleep at night it's lonely. Nursing? That's changed.

I took a friend to the ED yesterday with a serious infection and it took 1 hr sitting in the office before she got her obs done, then told to go out to wait for over an hour. We were totally disgusted. She was very unwell and after my previous brilliant treatment at this department, I am not happy.

I went to the Collie Hospital X-ray Department for the first time today, Wednesday the 21st of February and was absolutely shocked. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours to be taken through for my x-ray that only takes a few minutes and the person that took me through was very rude. When she took me through to the x-ray area, I expected her to ask me to go to a seperate room to change into a gown, however she didn't offer me a gown and asked me to take my bra off right there and then because she said she wanted to get things moving so she can go home, after I had waited patiently in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours? Also very unprofessional and unethical asking me to undress considering there were 2 male staff in the room next to us ..... with the door wide open! I myself have been in the healthcare industry for many years and never ever in all my life experienced this and will most definitely not be going back ..... absolutely disgraceful!

Absolutely disgusted I went in for tooth infection was in the most worst pain dropping to the ground got a lady names Beth she was horrible offered me codine when I told her it makes me sick she didn’t care and told me well don’t come up here again because I apparently am just wasting there time didn’t give any comfort to me was just rude . The night before I had a lady her name was Tara she was absolutely awsome comforting with my child and me and gave a lot of help and advice … I would recommend seeing Tara but as for Beth no just no I refuse she’s very nasty when someone in is so much pain and you tell them codine makes u feel terrible and then get told don’t bother coming up here again made me feel un welcomed and not cared for the health system I think needs to teach some of there staff manners respect and care

The worst possible service coming from a Hospital, called the hospital as my partner had fallen and broken a tooth very badly and was not sure what to do as it was 8pm on a Saturday night.
Spoke to a gentleman first and said wait 2 seconds and then hung up on me, called a second time and spoke to a lady and told her I just gotten hung up on after explaining what happened and then she said “yes, okay, thank you, goodbye” then hung up on me.
At this point I was very annoyed and confused as to what was happening. I called a third time and then was told by what sounded like the first gentleman I spoke to previously, he then just said “yeah well you can come in if you like, not sure what we can do though”
After hearing that I had no hope in Collie Hospital and did not want to come in, we had waited till the morning to attend the pharmacy and received a lot more help from the people there.

Just go to Bunbury. Don’t even know how to clean a wound.
