Black Spur Drive

A slow drive to enjoy the scene on both side of the road. It's a pity that there are not many "strategic" places on the sides of the road to stop for more photos. Hopefully the council can do something about that.
I have seen a group of people just parked their big ute on a narrow stripe on the side and walked along ON the narrow road to take photos. It was dangerous as the road is twist and turn, and the other drivers may not see them to stop or avoid them.
I would suggest that best to park on the few road sides that are wide enough and safe to take photos, and not walk on the road.

An amazing drive to one of the best rainforests in Australia. The Black spur drive will take you in to a different world for the entire duration of drive.

Black Spur Drive is a scenic route with beautiful trees and bushes, lush greenery all around. It's overwhelming in its beauty. There are very few places to stop, and the roads are somewhat narrow. However, it's still worth the drive. The air is superbly fresh.

This beautiful scenic route towards Marysville from healesville extends approx 15kms.
Enjoy driving here, specially when the roads are covered in mist.
Be cautious when there is a mist, the roads are slippery. On a sunny day no need to worry unless you just started driving.

I encountered a unique tree that stood out, and the environment felt distinctly different compare to Sydney. I’ve never experienced such unique nature in Sydney. The environment was completely different.

A fantastic scenic drive through the Yarra Ranges and the rainforest. I recommend to do the drive, while it’s raining or right afterwards. It gives the forest an almost mystic flair. Really beautiful!

One of the most amazing drives I've seen on my 60,000+kms of Aus! Glad for the slow vehicle turn outs for me to leisurely wind through and take it all in.

Beautiful road drive, but it was way to narrow and have very less spot to stop by.
Lot of local driver drive much faster than the legal speed,
and pressure us to drive fast like them.
Yet, giving middle finger and angry horn after we found spot to stop and letting them pass through.

Felt like i was in a movie i enjoyed the drive with sunroof and took these photos .

One of the best drives in the world, best times to drive it are between 10am and 3 pm as there is less traffic. Plenty of places to pull over and let others past, watch out for Wallabies grazing on the side of the road and lyrebirds are often spotted. Stop at Rowans Well to fill up your drink bottle with crystal clear spring water, and enjoy the drive further on past the majestic Cathedrals and between the Blue and Black Ranges

It's a beautiful drive with stunning views. It is a very curvy drive, so if you have motion sickness you may need to pop your pills for this one.
Although the speed limit on the drive is 80, will highly recommend to drive a little slower if safe to do so. That way you get to enjoy the stunning views

Definitely one of the best places i have visited. Its a small piece of heaven on earth that I absolutely fell in love with.
However, i wish there were safe stops near the road to park and take photos.

A great road for a motor bike ride, the twist and corners are amazing, would come again in summer. It was quite cold and wet last week.

Black Spur is a beautiful drive. The windy roads lined with lush green trees and the huge tall trees is amazing.
There are some spots to pull over and take photos along the Black Spur. Just be cautious of cars etc. It's a really beautiful place for photography.
