Don't like the team members on the phone, but man do these guys make good oils at a good price.

Not suitable for certain audi/vw, Ford Ecoboost and a few other European vehicles under warranty.

This oil does not meet Ford WSS-M2C960-A1 specification. which applies to most late model ford turbo boosted engines.

Edit: my 2020 Ford puma seems to have no hitec oil that is compatible for the 5 year warranty period!

Hi tec oils state they are full synthetic but when I service my car at the dealer they provide a 12 month service.

Local mechanics only offer a 6 month interval with hi tec oils. Why?

A few issues with this oil. Not all oils are the same. Also what is concerning is that no major service chains such as my car, ultra tune or even the dealer use this oil.

My car has a 12 month, 15,000 km service interval.

I've always had my car serviced at the dealer, who uses branded full synthetic oils such as Castrol edge and shell ultra.

When I switched to a local mechanic, they also claimed to use 5w30 full synthetic oil meeting API SN standard but they recommend a 6 months , 5000km service interval?

How is this possible?

In addition, this oil gave me a tappet ticking noise which wasn't there before and the car is more noisy when idling and revving

Performance is a bit different as well.
