Amazing spot to visit, especially in the afternoons for the sunset. Most afternoons the local dolphins usually appear near the jetty as well. You can also spot many types of fish, sting rays etc from the jetty too. There are BBQs in the park nearby. We spotted koala's on the gum trees in the park. If you are a boatie, there's a decent boat ramp there, however there is no pontoon at the ramp for easy offload and retrieve of the boat.

An epic sunset on any clear night is a stunning experience at Amity Point jetty. Dolphins on sunset, sometimes pelicans and a load of people fishing. Reliable sunsets, safe and there's a small kiddies park with toilet block and netted swimming area. I'd get takeaway and sit at the tables and watch the sun go down.

A beautiful day. A beautiful area, to take in the natual beaty, sun water and local wildlife. A shame the public toilets were so dark and dingy here. Barely any natural light, and no other light options.

Beautiful food, service, and coffee. Every time I go over to Straddy, this is always my first port of call, for a cake and a cappuccino and a bit of a chat. My sister and I just had 3 days over there, and the lady who runs the Amity Point Jetty shop told us where to get the best seafood on Straddy, so we got that on our way home. It was beautiful. Perry's Seafood is the place.

A super spot. We visited on the first day of winter and the sun was out and the sky blue. The caravan park adds to the area keeping it green and giving it an open park like feeling. Lots of interesting things to see; the pelicans, the dolphins, the diving birds, people loading their boats, the dock to walk out, the beach to walk along. Very restful and out of the wind compared too the more wild east side of the island.

Beautiful place for viewing the sunset. But I won’t recommend it if you travel by public transport, because you may have to wait for an hour in interchange for the bus to come here.

A great place to fish, swim, relax, or jump off a jetty into the calm waters of Amity Point. Koalas and Kangaroos can be frequently spotted. Very picturesque for a beach

Awesome little ocean front. We were excited to see a wild dolphin hanging around the jetty hoping for scraps from the folks fishing on the jetty.

This little beach is not open for surfing, due to this it is ideal for scuba classes in a protected area. I was told that the protective nets were places there to stop sharks from coming into the scuba/children's swimming area.

Hot day and well worth splitting time between fishing and jumping in the water. Great day out!

The best place on Straddie to catch Brim, whiting, flat head, squid etc... Also the most stunning spot for sunset over the water, See the dolphins, jetty jump, BBQs boat ramp and lots of wild life, awesome spot !

There is a playground nearby with toilet. The view from the jetty is fantastic and you can do some fishing. If you are lucky, you could spot some dolphins too. Just a short walk to the beach if you are staying at the caravan park.

After spending the weekend camping over at main beach this was a great spot to hang out and wait for the ferry back to the mainland. Also convenient access to the toilet dump point at the camp grounds nearby.

At the jetty you will be able to see wild dolphins swimming up close. If you are brave enough, you can jump into the water at the jetty. Mostly kids does it. Would suggest that the best time to visit this is during sunset as this is the time when the dolphins will come to the jetty. Plus the sunset view is beautiful. One thing you need to watch out for are the stone fish - just don't get near it.

Beautiful clear water. The jetty has wild dolphins most days that come by. You can fish here and swim in a protected swimming area as they do have sharks.
Camping also is right here. There is a playground and public toilets. Great time to be had by everyone.

Beautiful spot. A lot more chilled than the ocean side of the island.
