Had a wonderful romantic date here with my husband and the food and service were marvellous. Great selection of wines.

We had the five course dégustation and it was amazing.

Also they catered very well to my needs since I'm lactose intolerance and every food I got was dairy free.

Beautiful presentation of every dish and both me and my husband were perfectly saturated.

The interior design is eclectic and elegant, just as I like it.

Beautiful, intimate, moody restaurant. We did the long course and the food was superb. Took about 2.5hrs to complete so give yourself plenty of time. Servers were SUPER lovely, so respectful and attentive, always checking in on you, explaining each course, all very knowledgeable. Very expensive though but good for a fine dining experience. Loved the dark ambiance of the restaurant. Good for date night or small groups - quiet, intimate restaurant. Maybe not ideal for large, loud groups. Long course + cocktail cost us about $200pp.

Brought my wife for our anniversary and chose the 7-course menu.

Every dish was gracefully presented and well described by the staff. I loved every savoury dish. My wife only wished she had less tartare on her plate, but overall, we loved the experience.

The ambience was romantic, cozy and relaxing. Perfect for what we needed that night.
Their price is very fair compared to some other fancy places offering a sophisticated tasting menu, so it deserves a 5-star.

I certainly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

3rd time in three years and this place is without a doubt my favourite restaurant, the experience is just amazing, we had the short ( 7 course ) degustation with the paired wines, each time we go here I don't shut up about it for a good week or so cause of how great it is, expensive yes but worth it! The newly renovated part is very nicely done deer duck, we will be back ❤

Have eaten here many years before and decided to bring friends this time on a special occasion to try their latest degustation menu. Opted for the Short Course (7 course) menu and was not disappointed. Every course was simply delicious, only small almost insignificant gripe was that one of the 4 dessert plates was missing a raspberry but was still amazing. Presentation and most importantly taste was spot on and tantalised the palette! Staff were plentiful, attentive and responsive. Atmosphere-wise, bit too dark as you need more lighting to really appreciate the art presented before us. You definitely eat with your eyes, so something small that you can adjust. Overall, 9.5/10, highly enjoyed the experience! 👌

A surprise 60th birthday dinner from my daughter. The whole place is lovely from the food the service, the staff and finally the atmosphere. A wonderful evening that I will remember for a while. Thank you all from the Deer Duck bistro.

This becomes our hidden gem restaurant that I want to have a romantic time with my wife. It's our first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary with gift voucher from work. We have 5 dining courses. Staffs are super friendly and foods are amazing. All antique decorations make you feel that you are in a movie.

We loved this place. It was my first time dining here, but one I've been meaning to get to for years.
We arrived through the bar which is a whiskey and cigar type vibe and they have a good amount of seating.
The restaurant is in a house and we were super stoked to get our own private room which looked very royal! I loved the chairs!
The service was above and beyond expectation and they were all so polite and friendly.
The wine list is excellent with so many BTG options from around the world. It's great to see thought has gone into it and the wines aren't crazy expensive either.
The food was excellent. Not one dish was disappointing. There were no explosions of flavour but beautifully balanced dishes with excellent presentation.
Our group of 6 did a mix of 5 and 7 course food and wine pairings. The menu is surprisingly good value. I think the 5 course was about $95 and matching wine $75.
Personally, this is one of the best value for money food and wine pairings I've done in Australia. I'll definitely be returning!

Our second time here at the Deer Duck Bistro and we opted for the long course degustation and pairing wines for the evening.

The Deer Duck Bistro has a very intimate setting. The food fantastic as per usual, the wines were matched perfectly and beautifully, complimenting the complex flavours of each course.

All the service staff were knowledgeable and well versed on every course as well as on each accompanying wine. They were also very attentive and professional in all aspects of our dining experience. We could not compliment them enough.

Thanks everyone for your service. The food was fantastic. Tasty and easy on the eye. The drinks were so delicious. Especially my Caribbean Escape. Had to order a second one. We especially LOVED the main course, so tender and rich in flavor. But everything else was equally amazing. 5 stars well deserved! Highly recommend. Again, thank you so much for the amazing night.

It was my second dining experience at Deer Duck Bistro and it was 5 Stars from start to finish. The place is like no other in Brisbane with it's décor and we had a dining area all to ourselves which made the girls night out even more special.
The service staff were attentive, accommodating and very pleasant. We chose the short course degustation menu and ordered our own drinks but next time I would love to pair it with matching wines.
Chef Enzo and his team were remarkable with their culinary creations and at times the food were too pretty to eat! Every dish was warming and well thought out in the balance of flavours and was complementary as the menu progressed. As a group we especially enjoyed the scallops and the Moreton Bay bug dishes.
The service staff also provided us with adequate information about each dish and each course came on to the table in a timely manner.
I feel that the entire team is doing everything right to deserve culinary accolades for this exquisite restaurant. What a beautiful experience!

This is a quaint restaurant hidden away in Auchenflower. We had dinner here on Friday night and have been previously as well. It was a great experience both times with its quirky style and great food. We had the 5 course degustation which we were worried may not be enough food as the dishes are quite small but we left feeling satisfied, and not uncomfortably full. The meals are served in an artistic way, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is romantic. There is a great selection of cocktails, spirits and wines. They also cater to dietary requirements and have a full vegetarian menu. Highly recommend trying for a unique experience.

I can honestly say this is mine and my husbands absolute favourite restaurant! The atmosphere of the environment here is so wonderfully intimate, the service is first class and the food is DELICIOUS. You definitely want to leave a few hours to indulge yourself in this place. Thank-you to the wonderful staff and chefs for another lovely experience.

It was our first time at Deer Duck Bistro yesterday. Given its prominent location, we have driven past this joint a hundred times and have heard so many good things about it. True enough, it was an amazing experience. From the interior decor, to the warm and friendly service, to the quality of its food, every single element of our dining experience yesterday was 10/10. My only regret was I didn't dine there sooner! I highly recommend anyone to give this place a go. I will be sure to return there some time soon.

Brought here as a surprise welcome back home to Brisbane.
That was the only surprise. The quality of food service and atmosphere was better than ever. We ordered the "short" menu degustation with matching wines. The sommelier was superb. . 7 courses later ( we also had a couple of specials) we were replete. I just cannot fault this gem of a restaurant hidden away in Auchenflower. The highlights were the emu tartare and the souvide lamb. The choices below were not the current menu.

My wife and I have driven past this restaurant hundreds of times we had heard it was good and finally decided to have a date night here. When you enter it is very warm and inviting like you have been invited to a long lost friends home .. we were very impressed by the warm welcome and service the best I’ve seen and experienced . The food and tastes were original ,cooked to perfection and made our mouths dance with joy. I know everyone has different tastes but my wife and I agreed the scampi was our favourite. Thank you deer duck bistro for a incredibly satisfying food experience.

Used to be a small establishment, but have extended a lot since I was last there. Their couples tables were probably a bit close to each other for my liking, but fortunately none of our "neighbours" were noisy. However on a more positive side, their degustation meals are exquisite with equally lovely vegetarian options available. Service was well above par & couldn't be faulted. Quite exceptional in fact. We found the 5-course option more than enough & I left pleasantly satisfied. A large wine list is available along with cocktails & spirits. I very rarely give a 5 star rating, but Deer Duck definitely deserves it. Well worth a visit & has never failed me.

We did the 9 course. Absolutely amazing and the best priced degustation, and I’ve never been so full! My wife has plenty of dietary restrictions that were happily and seemingly easy to cater for. Service was as good as it gets; top notch. Great wine selection and pairing and staff have been trained very well on this. Definitely coming back!
