The Kraken Kiosk

We had lunch here after a morning swim at the beach. I had the Club House burger with no beetroot. Despite the mass of ingredients in the burger, it didn't feel greasy or heavy. Everything complemented nicely, the bun was soft and light, and the whole burger was juicy. The beef patty was covered in cheese and cooked perfectly to the point it was falling off. The service was lovely, with welcoming and friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere surrounded by the crashes of wave and family laughter. The only fault was the price, which I do understand for a small business. A single burger for $15 without chips is quite expensive, but everything is nowadays. Overall, a lovely place to relax, have lunch, and enjoy the day out!!

Great food and great value. Definitely punching against its weight when it comes to quick and easy food that's good value. Beef patties although quite thick were definitely well made and high quality.

Lets start with the people. The people a lovely, friendly and have a great handle on customer service!
Good food, well better than good! I go to a lot of cafes, and I would say this one has one of the better tasting burgers around! The food is well presented, generous in portion size without being silly! The food was made with care, not just slapped together as fast as possible!

The drinks were ice cold and the cappuccinos and mocha were very nice (now be warned the coffee is served in eco friendly cups, I know Some people do not like it, but it is responsible)

This kiosk is under the surf life saving club, the seats are out in the open, this means seagulls, wind, sand and sun, does not get any better! Pick the right seat and you can eat your food and look at the ocean! If you are real energetic you can walk down to the beach! If you are at Soldiers beach for a swim it is a short walk to the kiosk!

The kiosk does advertise a key minding service (see picture) and a mobile sms text ordering, have not tried these services but they do sound innovative!

I predict this place will be epic come the Spring weather!

What a pleasant surprise this little gem of a cafe is. I would drive to Norah Head just for these burgers.

I’d give the Kraken burger more stars if I could. We had 2 huge, delicious burgers we could barely finish (but did, because they were delicious!). Great value for money too because they’re huge. I wish more places were like this. Even self-proclaimed burger joints around Newy have got nothing on these burgers.

Came here with my girlfriend after sunrise. Lovely, friendly lady serving at the counter and the Hungry Surfer Wrap was amazing value at $13. Highly recommend.

Sensational coffee and food in great location. The chips and coffee were fantastic.

Great calamari, fish, wraps and coffee. Good coffee too. Great service. Right on the beach and dog friendly.

We had excellent, friendly service, the food was well cooked with large portions, and it was child friendly, and that's without the awesome sea view and nearby beautiful beach. Thanks guys.

Banana smoothies were amazing! Just like mum use to make when we were kids. Staff were friendly and cheerful, food was extremely fresh and tasty.

I had a gluten free hamburger was the best gf burger I have ever had.... will definitley be back....my husband had a works burger he said it was awesome
