Margaret River Retreat

We ran a beautiful retreat at this venue recently. Primarily we utilised the main housing, but two clients stayed in the glamping tents which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Breakfast was delicious - which is not easy given our group was glued free, vegetarian with two vegans!

The new venue manager settled all our clients in exceptionally well. The venue is close to the main road - but to be honest it is very quiet and convenient to get around.

We enjoyed our stay here.

A great place to stay for us as it was close to our daughters wedding venue but it also was great as quite a few of the guests stayed here as well . It meant we had a great weekend preparing, and celebrating together and meeting again for breakfast the next morning with guests. Nick was so accomodating. He met us when we arrived and left us to enjoy our weekend and was flexible in every way. Thankyou. a great environment for a gathering of friends and family Thanks Nick and Sonia

We had a camping spot but the owner let us use the closer glamping kitchenette and washrooms as there were only two of us. Incredible service, everything was clean, and the views were so lovely in the morning. Also greatly appreciated the focus on sustainability, would definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed the night spent for glamping at Margaret River Retreat. We loved the campfire setup. Place is well maintained and close to nature. Service is excellent. Good for family. Kids loved it too. Will definitely come back.

I have been running retreats at Margaret River Retreat for 2 years in a row now, and am so grateful to Sonia and Nick for offering such a perfect venue, with such attentive support to me and my participants. Their newest addition, Billy T is a super cute tiny home, with a roasting hot shower, super comfy bed and perfectly appointed kitchen. It was just the spot for me to recuperate after a day of ‘retreat hosting’.

This is my second time staying at the retreat. I absolutely love it. The combination of beautiful location, great amenities and wonderful hosts, made it a relaxing stay. I look forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

Our family of four loved our stay at Margaret River Retreat. We stayed over the Easter long weekend and you wouldn't even know that the region was packed with tourists - the site was peaceful and we loved the location just a short drive south of Witchcliffe.
We stayed in The Barn which was very spacious and had everything we needed for our young family. It had a full kitchen with oven, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, and there was a washing machine in the shower room so we could wash our kids' muddy clothes. The master bedroom had the most comfortable king bed with a view to the back paddock, and the second bedroom had two queen beds with a view towards the central facilities.
We had an indoor dining table but also enjoyed eating outside by the BBQ.
Confession - There are no TVs so we brought a portable mini projector with us and put on a movie for the kids every evening in our spacious sitting area.
The on-site cafe was an added bonus and we loved getting coffees and breakfast there each morning - the coffee was excellent quality too!
As an extra special touch the team put on an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday so it was a delight to see all the kids who stayed at the site helping each other hunt, and sharing their eggs.
In a region saturated with holiday rentals it was a pleasure to stay here hosted by old school hospitality with a sustainability focus. Our family will be back!

We had a very memorable stay in Billy T. It was well furnished, super cosy, and in a beautiful location. Seeing kangaroos outside first thing in the morning was truly a treat.

Me and Family experienced the amazing Glamping at your retreat from 26/01/23 to 28/01/23. You guys are awesome. The way you manage and maintain this beautiful retreat, away from city life is breathtaking. We loved the facilities at the tent we stayed at and all the common facilities provided and manage by Nick, Sonia and family. We will retreat there, next time we are at Margaret River and recommend this to everyone we know. A 😉 and thanks to you guys for having those friendly Kangaroos / Wallabies around...😍😇 In simple words, we just loved the experience.... 😇 Thank You....

A wonderful stay and so welcoming. We loved the camping experience but without any of the hard work, which was just perfect with 2 small children. The children had the time of their lives waking up to kangaroos outside the tent and feeding cucumber to the skinks.
The glamping tent is thoughtfully appointed and they even provided the children with sleeping bags which they loved.
The amenities are clean and well presented.
We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Really lovely glamping pods with comfortable beds and heaters for winter. Hot showers as well and scenic views with wildlife surrounding us, had kangaroos, kukabarras and wagtails. Sonia and Nick are very helpful and friendly as well. Thanks for having us!

We had a lovely 4D3N stay at the Barn Studio. We like how tucked away it is from the bustling town and definitely a great retreat where you can do animal spotting even from within the house. It's just situated beside the national park so the kangaroos do come in closer in the evening. Clean and cosy place for some forest/nature bathing! :)

We had a fantastic time at the Margaret River Retreat. We stayed in the tents with our friends, which were clean and comfortable. The shower was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. They greeted us with open arms and made us feel at ease. We will undoubtedly return to this location!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Margaret River Retreat. My partner and I stayed in the stables barn, and we loved sitting on the back porch looking at the animals close by. The bedroom was spacious, and there was also a convenient kitchen area. Sonia and Nick welcomed us warmly, and made us feel at home. We will definitely be coming back here!

Really lovely cottage. Comfy bed, beautiful bath and great hosts. The location is fantastic. So close to the beaches, Margaret River town and wineries. Also across the road is the start of the Wandandi track which is a 25km walk or ride up to Cowaramup.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Margaret River Retreat we stayed for 3 nights, 2 in the Shed Studio and 1 in a Belle tent. We had the best time relaxing here, the highlight each night was watching the stars with a nice cheese board and a glass of red wine.

The studio and tent we stayed in were very clean and well equipped. The retreat itself has lots of nice touches to help make your stay even better. If you are looking for a nice place to stay to get away from it all and connect with nature then stay here.

Margaret River Retreat grows on you as you spend more time. Initially it seems that it is a low key aspect, but the location is great to get to so many other places. Nick ( the owner ) goes the extra mile in an old fashioned way. Very endearing and so is the overall feel of your stay. The beds, linen and facilities are first class. The tents, are simply tents..... so don’t expect a Hotel room. The oil heaters do a terrific job to keep out the chill.
In summary - Have a stay, I am sure you will enjoy it for what it is. A good spot !

We had the best experience down at Margaret River Retreat. The owners were lovely, the studio was beautiful and clean, the kitchen had all the necessities (including marshmallows!) and the view from the room was just of an open field. I feel so recharged from such a wonderful getaway to paradise.

Lovely property and comfortable accomodation. We were planning to stay in the glamping tent. As we were in for a very cold and wet night we plugged in the heaters which tripped the power. Nick was very accomodation and offered us an upgrade into the studio. Very nice and warm. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again

I recently walked the cape to cape track with 2 friends. We were not keen on camping on the track each night, Margaret River Retreat was one of the locations we stopped at. We were so well looked after by Nick and Sonia. We got a lovely dinner and breakfast at the accommodation. The showers are fantastic and much needed after a long day of hiking. The location is peaceful and relaxing.
