Shepparton Veterinary Clinic

Today I had to make the hardest choice as a pet owner. My beautiful fur baby Buca had cancer and it was her time for the forever sleep. What sheppvets did for her and us was so compassionate and caring and they really cared and it showed. Thank you for making my hardest day a little easier.

Dear Readers,

My fur baby was unwell. So I had to take her to visit the animal doctor and I chose this wonderful clinic in Wanganui road.

Let me tell you all my dear readers I am so glad I did, from my initial phone conversations with the amazing reception staff to the kind and compassionate support I received from my lovely veterinarian.

I could not fault the team at the clinic. If your fur baby is ever is in need of help with their health care needs look no further.

I had to take my very sick dog in to see the vet, they were very caring and listened to what I had to say. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and understanding.

We sadly had the put our family doggo to sleep today and the nurses and everyone was so kind and amazing to us and our beautiful stormy, I highly recommend going here because the people are wonderful and always make sure your pet is happy even in their last moments xx

I cannot believe it’s taken me almost 10 years to write this review..

Back in 2015, my previous family dog fell very sick, it was sudden and shocking. We had never been to this vet before but I knew it was an emergency as it was obvious he was extremely sick and most likely had to be put down. This was my first experience ever with this and it was so awful and upsetting. The vet made us an appointment straight away even though we weren’t clients.

I remember going by myself into the room with this lovely vet who I can’t remember her name unfortunately :( but I’ll never forget her. I was really young (19-20?) and didn’t have much experiences with vets as it was a family dog. She knew it was fatal just looking at my dog and did say even if we got tests to confirm it was cancer, it wouldn’t change the prognosis and it was best to put him down. I just sat on the floor and cried, pouring my heart out to this vet whom I’d never met before.

The compassion I got from this vet was so incredible, I still think about this interaction almost 10 years later, she was understanding and so sympathetic and made an awful experience as best as it could be. She gave me options to give pain relief and spend 24 hours with our dog to say goodbye but it was possible he wouldn’t make it or could choose to put him down that day. I took him home first but after a few hours decided to end his suffering and went back. They treated our best friend with so much dignity and respect when they gave us his body and even while paying the bill, everyone was so caring.

Like I said, we had never been to this vet before, it was our first time and the care we received is a testament to human kindness and the amazing work vets do. We also received a beautiful card in the mail offering their condolences which is a small gesture with huge meaning and impact.

I feel I had to write this review for multiple reasons and also closure for our little furry friend. Thank you to that incredible woman and the clinic. I don’t live in Shepparton anymore but I’ll never forget the kindness that was given to me on that day.

One of our birds had a unfortunate run in with one of our cats and we thought we would have to go to Melbourne to be able to see a avian vet but we called the shepparton clinic and we're told to come straight in.
We had the pleasure of being looked after by Maddie who was absolutely amazing she took care of our bird who had made a full recovery.
We could not thank Maddie or the staff at the shepparton vets enough.

Cannot recommend Shepp Vets highly enough. They squeezed my dog in this morning with no notice. Jenny and Karen are so lovely and helped me juggle the dog, a grumpy toddler and the pram. The vets are practical in their approach to treating our dog, who they know well. The whole team really go above and beyond every time.

Wanganui Road Vets in Shepparton are incredible. Such kind hearted, compassionate people. We are very thankful for the reassurance we need when our beloved Kelpie Nala needs it. A shout out to Ella for her kindness today.

Absolutely wonderful group that really helped us out today. Am so thankful. This is not our usual vet (we live 30 + min away)...but now that I have interacted with them, I would do so again at the drop of a hat...thanks again xo.

Our Chihuahua Maxie had been having seizures and we were very worried about him. We rang Shepparton Veterinary Clinic and the reception staff were very professional, friendly and attentive to our concerns about Maxie.
We were in to see Dr Jill within the half hour, Maxie was assessed, blood's taken and medication prescribed to help get him back on track. We were so grateful for such efficient and professional service from the Clinic.
Thank you very much, your work and attention to our much loved Maxie is so much appreciated. 👍👍

5 stars doesn’t seem like enough for saving my cat’s life but it’s the best I can give. Brilliant surgery skills and very patient with my endless calls with post op care questions. We are truly lucky to have these guys nearby.

What can i say! Riana is absolutey amazing, she is kind, caring and compassionate. Thankyou for treating lachie and accommodating us worried fur parents. the continuous updates, allowing us to sit with him, the coffee and your kind heart was appreciated. Shepvets overall was outstanding

The staff are so helpful and friendly. They will go the extra mile for you. My dog especially loves to visit. She gets all excited when we get to the car park. I think that's the biggest recommendation that a pet wants to visit.

The staff are really helpful and the vet was sooo good. He was clear and very caring.

Considering we had to put our puppy to sleep an it was our 1st experience with this vet...They were wonderful. I appreciate the care an compassion. The lady vet was very informative, explaining our dogs situation.

They have always treated our animals like our family. Because to us they are our family. And when we have had to say goodbye to our fur babies in the past they have been very respectful and supportive. We've been married for 35 years and all our pets have been treated by these wonderful vets.
