Nice spot to watch the seals and swim around them. The depth of water here is roughly 2.2 metres.

This is the home for old male seals and very young seals and basically the seals rejected by female ones in Philip island.

We went there with a cruise from Sorento and swim suit to keep us worm. Although the water was freezing, we felt hot once we started swimming.

This site, on Port Phillip Bay, was once the site of a military installation and shipping channel marker but today it's the site of a holiday resort for sunbaking Australian brown fur seals. Because of its form, the resort, in the shape of a sheltered octagonal platform, is called Chinaman's Hat and you'll often see brown seals hauling-out or resting there. We weren't let down on the day we sailed past as it was full of sunbaking tourists doing their thing.

Great spot to see some seals. Can be smelly, as often mostly males around here, so stay upwind if possible.

Not wheelchair accessible, I fell into the ocean and almost died. Luckily my hubby came to the rescue.
