Australian post office at Lanyon is a tiny office and can get extremely busy at times, which some people can help speed up time if you know what they are their for like posting a letter or parcel, right details on your letter/parcel pretty is simply!

The staff are always friendly and happy to help!

They are an older brunch of men and women who are just trying to make a wage like everyone else, and the Australian post should be happy for their service!

It was sad to hear one of the older staff members had a bad accident and will no longer be working here, I take my hat off to them older men/women for having a go!

Went to post a parcel on my lunch break, arrived 12:40pm however was told they were closed for 1 hour for cleaning. I understand there was a COVID case here a few weeks ago however closing for 1 hour over lunch time is a bit rich.. there were 2 of us wanting to be served and when looking inside through the window there were customers being served.. not sure what was going on.. having to go back in the weekend is a pain but no other option.

Had to send some packaging to the UK. The process of that itself was fine. However the line took forever for no apparent reason other than Australia Post process takes forever. I had a quick browse while I was in line and looked through some books. Nearly brought a garden book about Naitives whilst on line so maybe that's their plan regarding the insanely slow line.

20 years on... same review - serious struggles to provide service at this location. Make sure to grab a takeaway coffee before arriving, and maybe some popcorn as well, to enjoy while watching the show. How many Auspost staff does it take to serve one customer? I'll let you work out the answer..... hint: it's not one, and its not without confusion and disarray :)
But they do have nice hand-painted display plates.

We have frequented this Office for over 10 years as it is our 'local'. Customer service fluctuates from good to very poor and as per other reviews, and service is 'at a snails pace'. The store is cramped and very difficult to move around in when there are more than a handful of customers.
Today's customer service was extremely poor and rude. While getting my parcels out of my bag the cashier left the counter and sipped on coffee, then returned and asked me to stand aside so the cashier could serve the customer behind me. Once the transaction was complete, I returned to the counter only to be told the next customer would be next as it won't take so long. Both customers looked surprised at this request and both stated they would wait as I was the next in line.
I walked out and today will be the very last time we use this outlet. One of too many unsatisfactory experiences.

Snail’s Pace - doesn’t matter what time of day you come, they move like sloths. Age may be a factor? Hearing issues, English as a second (or third or fourth) language, difficulty walking around the cramped store... it’s always excruciatingly slow but at least they aren’t rude. Go with expectations for a lengthy stop and you’ll be ‘right.

he tried to rip me off to send a parcel return to sender!! I'm awake up to you. I took the parcel to Tuggeranong PO and they didn't try to rip me off. just took it and returned to sender!!

The pace at which the employees here work frustrates me to my core - not an ounce of urgency in any of them 😳 also, please ask the young staff member to remove his AirPods while serving customers, it’s incredibly rude.

Bitter and disgruntled post office employee demanded that I make a booking for passport photos - even though there is no-where on the Australia Post Website that requires you to do this! (Because I checked!)

Such slow service. It's amazing watching the postal system in all of its complexity.
