Such a lovely evening in a gorgeous venue, just as I remembered from 24 years earlier (holy!!!) Two of us had the Rankin Cod special, grilled to perfection!! Third member of group had a perfect steak. Excellent service, cheerful, friendly, fast. Fabulous night topped off with three serves of the lightest, tastiest homemade cheesecakes ever. All in all a 10/10 kinda night. Thanks Wayne and your beautiful “front of house” 😊

We went there for our anniversary whilst staying at Denham. The meals are very good, I had the Steak & Mushroom served with potato bake and salad and my husband had the Seafood Platter. My meal was cooked to perfection and was a good size meal but my husbands Platter, at $80.00, although very tasty, was a bit lacking with only a very small lobster half, 2 oysters, a couple of small pieces of fish and a few prawns and calamari served in sauce. We also indulge in the Sundae for dessert, which was quite a large serving and good. The restaurant is BYO alcohol and they charge $5.00 per person for corkage. Soft drink is available to purchase. The staff were very friendly. Would recommend this place for a nice dinner.

Amazing find, fantastic food we had the seafood platter and my daughter had the red snapper. Definitely recommend visiting this beautiful restaurant but advise you make a reservation as it is usually fully booked.

100% eat here if you are in the area. Great history and amazing food. Make sure to book in advance as they only have a few tables and are often booked out. They're only open for dinner. Seafood platter was brilliant. Deserts some of the best I've had. Great options for the kids too. Portion sizes great. Don't miss it.

WOW. Me and my partner have been in Australia for 4 years and these were two of the best meals we’ve ever had over here. I had the steak with mushroom sauce and my partner had catch of the day (red emperor snapper), both were cooked to perfection. Wayne - the owner and chef, was so lovely, he was on his own for an hour until his waitress came in but service was still very hospitable and ran so smoothly.
It’s a very intimate setting so bookings are probably essential if it’s a weekend or in peak season. It doesn’t sell alcohol but you can BYO, the building is also made out of tiny shells from shell beach which was pretty impressive!!
A lovely gentle evening with delicious food, definitely worth the money. Thanks Wayne!! :)

Very good menu, with a wide choice of dishes. The food itself was very tasty and the service was very, very friendly, courteous and attentive.
The ambience is pleasant and there is no other place like it.

I don't know how this restaurant is not Michelin rated. Seriously good good in a historical building. Feels more like Europe than Australia.

Everything we had was top notch (crayfish, surf n turf, prawns in garlic sauce, chowder, pasta, tiramisu).

Most meals are generously sized.

Hard to believe but this place appears to be booked out every night.

Must visit when you're in the shark bay region! Absolutely amazing food. The best seafood chowder I've had...ever!
The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
A unique and historic building as well so the atmosphere is intimate and unique.
Will be back to try the rest of the menu. Book ahead!

We had the seafood platter and it was fantastic. Our friend ordered the chicken but was very disappointed. It was dry, stringy and minimal flavour.( I tried it)
No effort was made to rectify the issue when we notified wait staff.
Love the building, amazing history and ambience.

Make a reservation to ensure a table. We walked in and was put on waitlist but we don't mind as there are only 9 tables, 1 chef and 1 service staff so please be kind to them.

This place and its food is worth the wait and exceed our expectations!
Seafood platter and mixed berries cheesecake has its unique touch by Chef Wayne and taste amazing.

Love the building made from seashells and the only such restaurant in the world! Thanks for the hospitality Wayne and Alicia! A must visit.

Beautiful little quaint restaurant.
9 tables fill this restaurant which is great as it's charming whilst intimate at the same time.
Food was sensational, I shouted myself for my birthday and had the seafood platter which was delicious.
Service was great would love to return.

The Old Pearler was the first thing I noticed when we first arrived in Denham. It is part of the Denham Discovery trail. It is a quirky and quaint little restaurant made from coquina, compressed shells! I noticed it when I was close enough to the building to see that the bricks were not normal bricks.
You do have to book since there is limited seating due to the size of the restaurant and staff. The interior is quite unique and interesting, particularly the fireplace. The decor around the room gave it a nice historical feel. They have a decently sized menu which covers a range of items.
The food is quite nice. Nice flavour and cooked well. I had the seafood platter for one and everything on it was quite tasty, particularly the scallops. The calamari was also quite nice, fried and in a creamy chilli sauce. The portions for the kids meals were quite decent too. Their dessert was also quite nice. The Turkish delight cheesecake was really good.
Definitely a great place to stop by for food. It is also a nice experience being able to sit and dine in a very old building. Bear in mind that they don't serve alcohol but you are free to bring whatever you like.

We had dinner here last night. Amazing. Food, atmosphere, the building itself and service. All top notch. Limited tables but luckily we got a table and it is great that it is small and cosy. It is BYO.
The menu is amazing and we struggled to pick what we wanted as we wanted to try EVERYTHING. It was a shame that we were only in Denham for 1 night. We discussed and are strongly considering coming back for a week for 1 reason, purely to try the entire menu. 😍

Wow wow wow! From the moment you spot this beautiful little place on the corner. Such a quaint place full of history.

I was luck enough to enjoy a birthday celebration and I can't thank all the staff enough.
Food was absolutely marvelous! No unhappy tastebuds!
Prawn cocktail-Prawns were huge! And fish for mains, hubby enjoyed the crayfish.
So lovely of your staff and other diners to sing happy birthday to me - Thank you!

We will definitely be booking a table next time we are in town.

Beautiful meal to end our stay in Denham. Our mistake was not dining here sooner. We shared the seafood platter for two and everything was absolutely delicious. The whiting was sweet, the oysters and prawns fresh and the crayfish was perfect. Service was really friendly. We’ll be back next time we’re in town for sure.

A cosy little BYO restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown straight to our table. The menu had a good selection of dishes to choose from. Our party of 3 had chilli prawns, garlic mushrooms and fish chowder to start. The Chowder was amazing with so much seafood in it, the chilli prawns were beautiful in a creamy garlic, chilly sauce and the mushrooms were loaded with cheese and in a garlic butter. For mains we had a grilled red emperer, a steak Diane and a seafood platter. The platter was the star of the show with oysters both natural and kilpatrick, scallops, whiting, red emperor and a lobster half. All of the food was perfectly cooked, well presented and generous in its portion size. Feeling very full, we shared a homemade honeycomb cheesecake for dessert that was awesome and a perfect finish. Will definitely look this pace up I'd we are ever in the area again. Favourite meal of our trip so far!
