The Brae Dawesley

We had our wedding at The Brae Dawesley, March 2024. Milos and Maddie were so helpful in the lead up and on the day which made the process a breeze! We absolutely fell in love with the location grounds, ceremony stable and reception barn, we couldn't say no. Dry hire allowed us to do our wedding exactly how we wanted it. Accommodation on site was an added bonus with a short walk to bed at the end of the night!
We would definitely recommend The Brae for other couples wanting flexibility in their venue.

We love The Brae! Recently had our wedding here and it is the perfect spot that truly has it all.
We got so many comments on how beautiful and unique the venue is, we loved that it started as a blank canvas and we could do ANYTHING and no wedding is the same.
Milos and Maddie are fantastic to deal with and always made sure everything was perfect for us!
Can't recommend enough and praying we get to attend another wedding here in the future!!!

The perfect venue for our wedding.

The Brae is a beautiful and rustic wedding venue with great spaces both inside and outside. We had planned for an outside ceremony and mixed inside and outside reception, however with heavy rain and high winds forecast for the entire weekend we switched to a completely inside wedding package by making use of the gorgeous stables. Our entire wedding party was able to comfortably fit within the Brae's main barn for the reception and party.

Milos and Maddie have been wonderful to work with. Milos provided lots of hints and tips along the way and was a good sounding board to my questions and suggestions. They are highly experienced in hosting and planning of weddings and they help to make it a seamless process.

We had the best day of our lives at The Brae, thanks to you both for your support!

As a Marriage Celebrant @All Special Ceremonies, I have just check out the spaces on offer for couples @The Brae and WOW! Fantastic venue with multiple spaces for either an outdoor ceremony under a tree or within a rustic barn. The Reception area referred to as the "Long Barn" was huge and would definitely hold one amazing Celebration Party! If you are looking for the space and want to do all your own styling, and catering. Highly Recommended!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Brae earlier this year. It was the perfect venue for us! We appreciated the flexibility of bringing our own caterer and beverages plus additional hired items. The property is just gorgeous, lots of spaces for wedding photos. We loved having our guests enjoy lawn games and canapés on the vast stretch of lawns before entering the long barn for the formalities. Maddie and Milos were very accomodating and helped us out greatly. They were very lovely to work with!

My partner and I eloped at the Brae in Dawesley through their elopement package. We cannot recommend this package more! It was super affordable and made the whole day stress free by having the venue set up including styling, as well as having an amazing celebrant Gerrelyn and a talented photographer Jason help organise our special day!

My daughter was married at The Brae last Friday. It was brilliant. The service was held inside of the adjacent stables and 130 people fitted in there comfortably and the atmosphere fantastic. The main show then was held in the much larger building ( which could fit over 200 guests ) which spills out onto a grassed area the size of a footy oval. Milos made the effort to satisfy every request and with the amazing wedding planning skills of my daughter and new son in law, it was a unique wedding & reception. Des's Mt Barker taxi service was available for pickups and in May there is plenty of accommodation within a 20 minute drive .... mainly in Hahndorf.

The perfect spot for a blissful romantic getaway.We had the most wonderful time falling asleep to the crackles of the open fire & waking up to the sound of the birds and enjoying the tranquility. Maddie & Milos are fantastic hosts who catered to our every whim including fresh eggs from the resident chickens. The property is so beautiful & we really enjoyed exploring all The Brae had to offer. Thanks guys for an exceptionally relaxing stay. It would be a magical place for special gatherings in the future. Highly recommended

My wife and I stayed at The Brae and it was absolutely lovely. What a gorgeous wedding venue. The cleanliness and presentation upon arrival was great. The atmosphere was perfect to sip and enjoy a red near the fire. We were treated so so nicely and definitely plan to come back and stay in the cottage again at a later date. Thanks so much having us!

Wow...

This place is incredible and just the relaxing atmosphere that we needed. Myself and my partner just stayed the night with our little 2 year old girl who absolutely loved the sheep and chickens. The venue itself would be incredible for a wedding with so many options. We stayed in the cottage and couldn’t of ask for more, falling asleep with rain on the roof and the open fireplace was a highlight. Both Maddie and Milos are the types of people that make you feel like family !

We had looked at multiple venues for our wedding in SA before we decided on The Brae. We are planning on having our wedding here in the near future and what has really made the experience of choosing a venue is the communication and care of the owners/hosts Maddie and Milos. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, super accomodating and just lovely to work with. They have taken the stress out of most of our planning and we can't wait to share of special day with family and friends here.

Absolute stunning Venue who wanted you to have the best day! Gorgeous lawn, reception and ceremony spaces! Would turn around and do it all again at the Brae!

Love the Brae, it was exactly what my niece was looking for. Rustic, romantic and peaceful venue for her wedding. the cottage is just gorgeous, we can't wait. Thank you to the perfect hosts, Milos and Maddie, you're the icing on the cake.

Wow. What a venue! The Brae Dawesley is one of a kind. From the barns to the cottage - there’s so much to offer.
Maddie and Milos helped turn the Long Barn into something seriously amazing to celebrate my milestone birthday. Guests were extremely impressed, as were we. Maddie and Milos always went the extra mile.
The cottage is simply divine. We stayed in the cottage the night of the event which was perfect.
I would definitely recommend The Brae Dawesley.

Attended a wedding here over the weekend. The venue was gorgeous and versatile. So much potential to have the wedding of your dreams. The hosts are very friendly.
