Aquamarine

We stayed at this place in September 2017 and had a really plessant stay. Everything in the house worked as promised and the location is really great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aquamarine. The house was larger than we had expected, had all the things you could need for a comfortable stay and was really easy to clean. And we can't forget that cool aqua colour which made you feel happy just looking at it.

Situated behind a sand dune meant that it doesn't have a nice garden or anything but it does have a great balcony off the back perfect for your morning cuppa or a bbq.

To get to the beach It was a simple trip up some stairs and over to a secluded and calm beach where we fished, kyaked, paddle boarded and explored with the kids for hours on end. In the whole week's stay we only saw a few other people on this beach and loved that the kids made friends with some local children who showed them their favourite parts of the sand dunes.

While on KI we had some warm and some chilly weather, but the house remained comfortable throughout the entire stay.

Overall this was a great base for our stay on Kangaroo Island and we would happily stay there again.

Quite uncomfortable bed and couches. Door is very hard to open. Missing some of those special touches.

Aquamarine is by far, the worst accomodation ever offered.

I booked to stay here on February 27th to 1st March and the accomodation was not satisfactory.

Upon check in, the following issues :

1 Tv did not work. Manager spent an hour unscrewing the tv and could not fix it. Advised a technician could take 8 days.

2. Smoke detector not working due to battery ripped out

3. Rubbish

4 Others peoples belongings throughout the house.

I decided to leave as a main reason for my holiday was to be able to relax and unwind by being able to watch tv which was a feature.

This owner was suppose to call. Never did. I had to chase her and after being nice and asking for a refund she hanged up on me. She relisted the property the same night. She lied to Stayz the booking place and is an extremely nasty person.

I have now been forced to take legal action.

Do not stay here as if the property is not up to scratch, its your fault and she will refuse and lie in order to keep your money.

UPDATE: Be careful if you check this property on the STAYZ Website. There are no NEGATIVE reviews as this owner whinges for it to be taken down. Its a pattern with Stayz.

I wouldn't be throwing accusations that I have written any other reviews as Im sure other people have had issues with you as you are a con artist. Have you stated the cleaner John is still with you? I know he left as he even referred to you as some words that I wont publish.

Numerous emails beforehand were sent to you regarding our enquiries over the place. Your place was a dump, plain and simple. You made no effort to rectify the situation. Im not waiting 2 days for a tv to be fixed . Other issues above are truthful and anyone who would like to see the emails and sms messages from this con woman are more then welcome to message me privately. You stole 450 from me as you hounded me not to pay through Stayz but your bank account as Stayz would charge you a fee. At least here I can tell people the truth. My review on Stayz was accepted but as you moaned they took it down as people who book through Stayz dont matter as the owners are the ones that pay Fees. You are a disgraceful lying human being. No one should stay at Aquamarine as there is so much more other alternatives and if all accomodation is booked, the car would be the best option instead of this dump.
