Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel

We were more than surprised how amazing this hotel was from the moment we opened the door. And then I saw the washer and dryer and was elated. Clean. Quiet. Comfy. Really can’t give it a higher score. Easy check in & out, great staff. Onsite restaurant with great food and service. Can’t get any better. Not upscale luxury, but absolutely no complaints.

Pretty happy with our stay. Bed was very comfy and the kitchenette was great. The noisy cars and bikes could he heard through the glass doors but thankfully, it was mostly quiet at night. Not much happening in that end of town though.. not much happening in the town at all really.

Welcomed on arrival. Staff are professional and available for assistance. Restaurant is within building and room service had food arrive hot. The room is well designed. Location fantastic for walking and close to shopping. Balcony room with good views.

We stayed here for one night in order to catch Heron Island Ferry next morning since it's only 3 mins drive from the Marina. The room is quite spacious, and the service is great. Surprisingly, the food at the cafe is quite good and it opens early in the morning which is fantastic.

Second time I have stayed. Fantastic staff, super friendly and welcoming. Great location. Bed and pillows VERY comfortable, I really like the rooms as spacious n modern, and a great view of Gladstone.

The restaurant oak and vine will not disappoint. The food is excellent and the service is first rate. Attention to detail with food and the service you get is great. Highly recommend this place, so much so back for the second night in a row.

Surprisingly nice room located on the top floor. Very well equipped. Comfy bed.

Oaks was great to stay at, would definitely stay here again when coming to Gladstone in future. Staff were friendly and the room was modern and comfortable!

Great hotel, central, good eateries, crispy clean an comfortable.

Unfortunately, I lost the photos of the room I was in. I arrived at the Oaks with a group of people on a tour from Gladstone/Heron Island Tour with Gladstone Region Tour a a Darryl our tour guide.

This hotel does not disappoint. From check-in to check-out my stay was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, polite, professional and smartly dressed. They even greeted me by name when our paths crossed.
My room was a good size and gave me great views of the city and sea. The room was clean and felt modern, and had all the white goods you would need to keep yourself fed and watered; and if you didn't want to cook there was room service from either the nearby Oak & Ridge restaurant or a The Coffee Club cafè.
There is a swimming pool here but I didn't use it so can't say anymore about it.
The hotel is in a good location and there are a great deal of cafès, restaurants, pubs, sports bars and attractions within walking distance.
There is secure underground parking and there were always spaces available throughout my stay.
I had a great experience staying at The Oaks and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Met at reception with smiling faces and friendly service. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. There was a great little kitchenette and comfortable lounge in the suite. A very comfortable bed made the night very restful. Still confused by the window into/out of the toilet, but hey, whatever floats your boat

We Stayed in room 803 over the weekend and it was awesome. The views were stunning, It was clean, decent shower pressure and Roz at reception was super friendly and helpful

I was desperately helping my parents get a room after they have been in an accident and couldn't drive home as they lived out of town. Special mention to Cherry and Maria for being so polite and helpful. I rang Oaks very late at night and they didn't turn me down like the other hotels i rang that i knew had free rooms as i have friends there. Big ups for Oaks on customer service and hospitality. I will be staying here for future trips to Gladstone from now on. They even lent my parents a charging block as this was an unplanned stay. Keep it up guys. 12/10 stars for service, training and hospitality.

I spend 80% of the year in different 4 or 5 star hotels for work, and the concierge staff here are truly amazing. 24/7 staffing is a rarity and a god send if you forget your swipe card. But on top of that, the concierge service were so helpful, gave me a sheet of A4 paper I needed, lent me a PC computer mouse for a few hours that I desperately needed. My cooktop didn’t work and concierge comped my dinner for the night and had it repaired the next day.
I lobby definitely has a 5 star atmosphere, with the scented candles and the power stations for work laptops or phones are so helpful.
I would definitely stay again, but have include some specifics for future guests.

Location: central location walking distance from servo, maccas, coffee club and about a 20min walk to Woolworths

Suggestions for hotel
- Hotel Library card or a shared hotel bookcase, there isn’t a single bookshop in Gladstone, closest is Rockhampton except Big W
- Option to Heat room as well as Cool, get very cold overnight
- Option to leave rubbish out, if you opt out of daily cleaning or are a shift worker then there is no rubbish chute
- Because power to room shuts off upon leaving, it is difficult to do laundry while out/at work consider making specific powerpoints not dependent on this, or giving guest staying >3days a 2nd room key, I was able to get another key from reception

Stayed here one night. Should have planned for more. My 2nd time to Gladstone, but this time in the daylight. Welcoming, smiling and helpful staff. I was in need of a good "Steak" feed and the lass on front desk, she pointed me to The Queen's Steakhouse, just a quick stroll away. "Just the Bomb". On check in, the same chick, informed me on the best place to park to gain access to the lifts and my room. Visitors with cars it's undercover secured parking with keycard entry. Rooms are spacious and clean. I had a view looking south. My bed was comfortable. The Tv has local channels only and there's limited room service due to the opening hours of the providers. In this case The Oak & Vine. There is WiFi for a small fee and with unlimited data deals on phone plans this is not going to bother some people. I like this hotel,it's location and the facilities it offers.
Lastly, I like the downloadable compendium idea and the use Q bar scanning to order and pay for services. It's saving trees and it's awesome for the environment. Would definitely come back.👍

Really great hotel, nice furnished, clean comfy bed. We had a room on the 7th floor and had a gorgeous sunset from our balcony. Everything was great! Hard to fault (maybe the pool is too small... why didn’t they put it in the roof?!) would recommend.
