Vermelha Station

Lovely people! my husband Rico worked there in 2015, we even went back for a 3 week visit, we didn’t want to leave 😄. We still are in touch with Veronica & Lindsey. They even sent us a Christmas present and calander every year, shipped all the way to the Netherlands!

Worked there and had a wonderful time. The managers there toad me a lot. Good place to work, friendly and hard working, honest people.
I came back to visit them a few years later, from the other side of the world. I was very welcome and recommended the place to a friend.
He also worked there with pleasure and left the place with a great experience and a couple of new Aussie friends!

I'm sharing because I stumbled across this station property and I have known the managers (Lindsay and Veronica) for 50+ years and I'm reading some of the negative commentary and can without any doubt say it is BS. To say they are scammers is a insult to both these beautiful and very hard working people. My only consideration would be to those putting up the negative commentary is to remove it.

I can highly.recommebd working at Vermelha Station. The managers (Lindsay and Veronica) are both wonderful people with loving hearts. They are passionate about the land and they go over and above when it comes to looking after their staff. The station is gorgeous and you will learn a lot from working here.

For those of you concerned about Julian's comments, he was with us for 1 and a bit days and he chose to leave, we wish him only the very best in his travels around Australia and hope he gives his next employers a better chance then he gave us..God Bless.

Worked for 7 years there under the current management and had no problems

Beautiful place, lovely peole, extraordinary working experience

I recently stayed at Vermelha Station and unfortunately had a very poor experience with the staff, particularly with Veronica and Lindsay. From the moment I arrived, Lindsay treated me poorly because he thought I looked like a "Greener," and his communication problems made it difficult for me to do my job well. Veronica also treated me poorly throughout my stay, including on my last day when she even requested that I not be paid and only paid me for one day's work when I had worked for one and a half days, which is not legal. When I tried to address these issues with them, they continued to behave disrespectfully towards me.

In addition, I feel that it is important to mention that I left a negative review on Google to warn other backpackers about my experience. I believe that Lindsay and Veronica lack basic human decency and that my experience was not isolated. I would not recommend staying at Vermelha Station based on my experiences
