Visited the gallery and did an organised cultural tour / walk in the bush during our trip to NE Arnhem Land in September last year, which took us to some very special, beautiful places. Travis shared stories and knowledge of this beautiful land while sitting next to the beautiful gorge. It was one of the highlight of our trip. It's been a little while now, I think the guides name were Travis and Dave (sorry if it's not!), but what I remember vividly, is that they were both so lovely and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our our time in Beswick and stopped again on the way back, ended up with beautiful art prints which now feature proudly in our home. Beswick left a very special mark in our minds, and I can't wait to visit again this beautiful land. Thank you to all the team of Djipin Arts.

Must do when passing through on your way to Nhulunbuy! A beautiful gallery of pieces from the 90s accompanied by stories and information from Travis - we learnt so much and marvelled at the artworks. The retail shop had a lovely collection of art, jewellery and textiles.

Highlight of our NT trip. Travis was amazing and gave us a great tour of the gallery. The shop is full of lovely things at reasonable prices. We look forward to returning to do the cultural tour

This place is so special and unique. It is definitely worth the drive to experience such an informative tour of incredible Aboriginal paintings. Dave & Travis were so friendly and gave such important information behind each art piece on display.

The museum associated with the arts is amazing and contains some exceptional pieces. The staff explained about the pieces. Local art can be bought at the shop. A great place to visit and the trip out along the central Arnhem land highway to the centre is interesting.

Great museum, great arts and crafts and great prices. The curator can explain all the story lines behind the art works. Best experience because of his knowledge. He is a credit to his culture. I felt privileged to hear his stories.

The art gallery has planty of aboriginal art on canvas for all size and price. A little bit more expensive than other galleries but good quality! Very nice boomerangs and other different objects. Here you have the possibility to experience some aboriginal activities for 75$ per adult. Could be interesting!

I always respect, acknowledge and support Aboriginal art and culture. Myself is a professional didgeridoo (mago) player. I came all the way from Gold Coast to visit an authentic indigenous community and support their art and culture. This is why I visited Djilpin Arts today. They have a beautiful museum and great collection.

However, I was ripped off by one of their employees today. There was a young man called Travis and I told him I was looking for someone to paint my didgeridoo that I brought from Gold Coast all the way. He offered me his service and promised to do this job for me. As I wanted to support indigenous community and artists, I accepted his offer and trusted him. At the end of 2 hours he gave me an unfinished, very unsatisfactory painting. I didn’t want to argue and disrespect him as I was in the community but this wasn’t an honourable act from an emerging indigenous artist. I relied on him as he was the guide and the employee of the cultural art centre. When I checked with other aboriginal artists in the area and showed his work, they agreed upon his high rate vs unfinished work. Such a shame when I had all the good intentions!

Hope this feedback brings some lights on him and the centre for some reflections.
