Ramalama Book Exchange

This place is an absolute heaven for book worms like myself. Surrounded by hundreds of books from all sorts of genres and all sorts of decades. This place would probably be my go-to if I wanted to look for something that probably isn't still stocked on the shelves of Big W or Target. And there is just something about the appeal of a book that looks a little worn, maybe containing little written notes and still doggy-eared.

Another perk is finding books that you can still buy new but in their older editions (first Harry Potters etc). As well as that, you can also buy them somewhat cheaper!

I don't have the best photos of the place to add, but you basically forget what walls look like and there are occasionally little odd but entertaining figures and plushies strung around which I loved.

A must stop when you're in the area, amazing range of books at fantastic prices.

Great value and extensive range of books. Couldn’t believe the choices available for my preferred genres. Able to get credits to go towards your selection. Seriously don’t know why people buy new books these days.

This is a rare and precious place! Everyone who likes books should come here! There are so many great second hand books of all genres; cooking, gardening, surfing, fiction, non-fiction...too many to list! If you bring in any books you dont want you can also get store credit where half of what you spend is taken from your store credit so books are even cheaper!!!! If you need books for students also check out what's available to save some $$$.

Great selection and nice people.

This is how a second hand book shop should be: large, but still too small to accommodate all the stock. Floor to ceiling shelves in each room bursting with wonderous tomes at more than reasonable prices, a vast range of DVDs and an excellent collection of audio books (mostly on tape). Also operates as a book exchange.

Love the atmosphere and book selection here, everytime I am down that way I make sure to stop by and leave with about 6 books and 4 DVDs. My absolute favourite layout of a store and the staff are always so lovely and helpful. A must check out for everyone!

Always love it here. Some many books to choose from. Kids enjoy picking out a book also. Friendly staff.

Housed in a century old building, this is a very large second hand bookstore, The managers will not keep books aside to fill customer orders, sales are for customers who come in to find what they have. I find this inconvenient but the same rules apply to everyone. I have no choice but to visit often. The stock is constantly changing, so if there is a particular book you need, keep calling in.

My favourite second-hand bookstore. Always a great selection of children's and craft books to browse.

Such a struggle to find a great used book store like this these days. Floor to neqr the ceiling stacks, very reasonable prices and a mini labyrinth of rooms to look through.

The gents running the shop have an unbelievable knowledge of just about every book on their shelves (and not on their shelves). AMAZING!
