Walking along the winding cape that leads to the sea. On the left, the roaring waves of the open sea. On the right, the calm inner sea with clear water and white sand.Climbing along the abandoned military ruins along the way,And even encountering a small mole that only ventures out for food."

Fantastic day. I went with a decedent of a survivor of the SS Ticonderoga. This was the first ship whose passengers were quarantined on Port Nepean in 1852. The history is sad and amazing, 100 passengers died of typhus on the journey. The stories and family photos makes it an amazing story of our early history.
I have visited on many occasions and have also enjoyed the story of our military history in this area. A unique and varied experience. Thank you.

Lovely peaceful place lots & lots of walking. Great to look at all the history associated with the war etc. Makes for a super day trip.
