Russell River National Park

No facilities but wonderful beach and fishing. Get there early camp areas go quick. Bring everything no shop, no toilet or shower. Down side, watch out for crocodiles.

Great spot of camping have your your own site highly recommended but "DOWN SIDE" make sure you get to site first before you book there is possible it will be taken (by those advantages people can't spent $6.50 a night) get there first and book it on spot and 1 or 2 bar service there!! So 50%chance it will be taking and 50% RANGER NOT come and check this site at night... As 1st June 2019 booked my self site 2 as soon I got there it been taken and even they cut tree down around site for fire.. And yes I did move to free spot down the road. . Not very happy

Just a great place to get away but definitely be weary of the crocs, there's plenty of big ones about!

There are a few small private campsites very close to the beach and the Russell River suitable for tents and camper trails but definitely not caravans as there are too many trees and there is no sun for solar. While we were there we saw a large crocodile track going from the ocean across the sand dune to the river. So be very careful and don't be complacent when it comes to crocodiles I always seem to surprise you and what they can do and where they live. I love the area myself it has a wild feeling about it.

A nice out of the way National park consisting mainly of beach and coastal scrub and estuaries.Be croc wise around waterways. Mozzies and sandflies can be bad at certain times of the year. Recommended 4x4 access. Take everything, there are no facilities.

Pretty little place, damn shame people won't clean up after themselves however.
