Josephine Falls Carpark

Park here to walk to Josephine Falls. Be careful as many people have died here by drowning. Good place fore a cool swim. The water can flow very fast after rain, don't go while raining. Beautiful views and crystal clear water. The mood varies from packed with tourist and screaming kids to quite and relaxing depending on the time of day and year.

Josephine Falls is a beautiful spot. Picturesque waterfalls and a great cluster of swimming holes. You can slide down one of the falls like a water slide and a couple of potential cliff jump spots at well.
NOTE: Water was bloody freezing 🥶
Car park was also adequate but that’s not what I’m rating.

We had such a great time in Josephine Falls. So much space for parking, 10 minute walk to the falls. You have to climb over some rocks to get into the water but it's an absolute must! One of the best around Cairns and the natural slide will keep anyone entertained.

Beautiful walk to the falls. once there it's a bit climb on the rocks so make sure you wear appropriate foot wear. The water is so nice to swim in.

An amazingly refreshing swim in the waterfalls. Air temp at 35 at our visit but the short walk up to the lower pool was just enough to get us warm and cool down in the pool. Great spot! This was one of the highlights for us driving through QLD

Awesome location..we did bit of swimming 🏊‍♂ here..great picnic location..but be careful when climbing the rocks gets slippery...so avoid the fall n injury.

Easy quick drive off the highway. Great path and well maintained. So glad we took this little detour as an easy walk.

About a 700m walk to the falls - includes some mildly steep sections with stairs at the end.

Small free car park with limited public toilets, including a dedicated facility for wheelchair users. Bring your own soap. Be prepared to take away your rubbish as there are no bins provided.

Nice waterful, clean water, deserve a look

Best place for a swim near cairns during summer. Crystal clear water but have to be careful while walking on the rocks.

Council have outdone themselves here. The car park is well shaded, conveniently close to the amenities and well presented. Historical natural and cultural information is on hand, and blends into the environment, and the efforts to assist with accessibility are commendable if not complete. Walkways are smooth and well paved and the only downside is the proliferation of backpacker groups.

You can have a lot of fun here

The natural granite water slides are good fun. 1.5hr south of Cairns. Short rainforest walk. Picnic on the rocks. Good half day.

Excellent car park. On a slight angle so watch your camber. The nearby waterfalls aren’t bad either.
