A real gem for all interested in history of telecom or just history of Brisbane and Queensland generally :)

Volunteers doing amazing work, both with very pleasant and informative guided tour and also by keeping the equipment in working order.

Highest recommendations!

Great history and equipment from the telegraph, telegrams, post and telephone. Volunteers add a lot to the displays. At least two hours are needed. Air conditioning works well so a great place to escape humidity with plenty of offstreet parking around the back.

Hidden gem! Lots of working exhibits and an entertaining walkthrough by a knowledgeable guide. A great insight into the history of communications in Australia over the last 150 years. 100% recommend for everyone.

Originally had gone to take a look around but didn't realise there was a team of volunteers there to help guide us around and answer all our questions. It was a very valuable experience and it was great to see how technology progressed over the years. I would highly recommend visiting.

Peter and James did an excellent job of showing us around the museum, and explaining the world of wonderful technologies inside.

Lyndley was a star guide! My friends and I had a great time learning all about telephones, the older ones from the 1800s were definitely our favourite! Super cool and can’t wait to come back with my other friends!

The Telstra Museum contains an amazing amount of historical telecommunications equipment. From telegraphs to pagers, Morse code to facsimile, there's an amazing amount of history in this place.

The volunteers offering tours are knowledgeable and passionate about this often-overlooked part of history that is now commonplace. This is definitely a recommended stop on any museum map!

Anthony gave my friend and I a great tour. He was very knowledgeable and demonstrated many of the phones, devices and machines for us. The experience was very interactive and interesting. We had no idea what to expect walking in but it was worth the visit!

While initially reluctant to go, the Telstra Museum turned out to be a real eye-opening educational experience for my wife and I. Who knew that decades ago Telstra actually provided genuine customer service to their customer base? For those of us who have grown up in the Filipino Call-centre Labyrinth era, this was truly an insightful revelation.

Last Wednesday 30/10/19 the Probus Club of Coorparoo went for a tour of the Telstra Museum, believe me, this is well worth the 2 hour tour. We started off with a 40 minute video lecture, which at times was quite funny, looking back and going through the ages of Telecommunication. This is a working Museum and there are telephones from 1878, Morse Code Demonstrations, Switchboards ( working units) Teleprinters and Telex machines.
Don had organised our tour, and all the other men who are volunteers do a wonderful job and they enjoy their hobby which makes it so interesting.
Thank you for an interesting afternoon, our Members really enjoyed your tour.
