My name is Vicki Plummer and I am 66 yrs old and am 4 weeks post op from a Left Total knee replacement. I researched Surgeons and came across Dr Nizam. What a God send. To say I am happy with the results is minimising it. I am ecstatic. . I went to Cabrini Malvern for my surgery followed by 10 nights in Cabrini Brighton rehab. Mr Nizam is the best surgeon. I am doing my exercises daily and hydrotherapy and physiotherapy in house weekly. My husband says Dr Nizam is a miracle worker. The staff were impressed by my progress and my GP in Tasmania too was impressed. My physiotherapists can't believe the amount of movement I have in my knee as I had a 125 °flexion of my knee after 3 weeks. Crutches free in around the house and one arm crutch on uneven ground. The scar has healed to a fine red line which looks like a 6 month old scar. I am so glad for the professionalism and skill of Dr Nizam. Hayley , his Receptionist is truly amazing as well.

After 3 knee surgeries and a failed left knee operation by a previous surgeon, I went on the hunt for another Surgeon for a total knee revision. I got lucky and came across a professor of Medicine socially and he threw out some recommendations. I also by sheer luck came across my neighbour who had just had the same surgery by Dr Nizam. He was very happy with his progress and he was walking independently without crutches within 3 weeks and now 10 weeks later he is back to playing 18 holes on golf. Dr Nizan was one of the surgeon’s names recommended to me by the Professor. Hence I made a consult with him asap. As I had all the X-rays etc for him to view he recommended a Revision of my left knee, which I was expecting given the pain I was suffering. What struck me most of him was that he was very strong on all his protocols before and after surgery. And he provided me with a 30 page booklet with all his suggestions for his patients to get the most out of this surgery. I promptly booked my surgery. I was in Hospital for only 24 hours with very bearable discomfort. Given I had no support at home and stairs to climb, I booked Cabrini Brighton for what turned out to be only 8 nights. I have just seen him 13 days post op and he is very happy with my progress. I have not been on any strong pain meds for over 10 days now, only the odd Panadol taken. I would like to offer some advice to all you future patients who will require a knee operation. I’m exceptionally happy to date with Dr Nizam and his attention to detail, however doing rehab in house in hospital in group sessions. It took me by surprise how many patients were doing the bear minimum in rehab. After now my fourth knee surgery it’s clearly evident to me that you have to put the work into Prehab as well as rehab to get the best results from your surgery. I spent 2 moths strengthening my leg and knee muscle prior to surgery and do more than recommended post surgery subject to pain tolerance. Dr Nizam in conjunction with my adherence to his programme has me well ahead of my recovery time in comparison of my other surgeries. Pick the right doctor and follow his programme and get the results you’re looking for.

Dr Nizam’s care for my mum recently was excellent. She would highly recommend his service for anyone looking for comprehensive care. He really takes the time to address questions and concerns and explains all your medical/surgical options thoroughly.

Dr Nizam Ikram is a miracle worker. I have had both an anterior hip replacement and six weeks ago a knee replacement. Within two weeks I could walk without any aids around the house, no strong pain meds required. I am currently doing physio & hydrotherapy and my physiotherapist is in awe of my recovery. I did a lot of research to find a great surgeon who could do a full knee replacement via the 3D print method. I saw Ikram and was very comfortable with the information he gave me. Although perhaps a bit doubting when he said there would be very little pain. Had the operation in late March so now over 4 months. I have to say he was right pain level was very low after the first few days and recovery was quick. I have spoken to others who had different types of operations and are still dealing with pain some, years down the track. I would unreservedly recommend Ikram as highly talented surgeon, highly respected by staff and easy to communicate with.

I had a Bikini Hip Replacement 8 yrs ago which was a total success. Very little pain which was managed with Panadol. I have recommended Ikram to friends, total of 4 hips and all were extremely happy with result. He is very professional and instills total confidence. I had a Total Knee Replacement 3 weeks ago and all is going very well. More pain than Hip but manageable with Panadol. Have been walking unaided since week 2.

I had a Left Anterior Bikini Hip Joint Replacement in June. I’m having a review with Dr Nizam next week and am planning to get my right hip done ASAP. I had zero pain post op; I went home with a good supply of analgesics however I only required Panadol, I didn’t even replace my patch. Up walking with crutches 4hours post op and for the first week. My new hip is great!

I had my left knee replaced 29/6 and right hip replaced on 30/9 by Dr Nizam.
I'm delighted with my progress. I played 18 holes of golf yesterday and have no pain or complaints. The knee is rehabilitating very well. I am getting more degrees of flex towards my backside. Bike riding has been best. The hip was a very quick recovery time, driving a car within a week.
Strongly recommend Dr Nizam... like his approach and I had lived with knee complications for 40 years and I have definitely made the right decision. Perhaps should have done it 10 years ago.

I am 79 years old and Dr. Ikram Nizam performed a full hip replacement on my left hip two weeks ago now and I am extremely happy with the result of the surgery. I was operated on in the morning and up walking later the same afternoon to get me moving again. Now two weeks later I am walking pain free with the aid of one crutch purely for stability for going up and down stairs (which I will soon no longer require).
I would very highly recommend Dr. Ikram Nizam to anyone considering a hip replacement as the bikini hip replacement procedure he performs is less painful and has less recovery time than regular procedures.

10 years ago, l had a hip replacement of my right hip & was told l would need the left done 5-10 years after. I had such a painful & horrific recovery that l was dreading the day my left hip would need replacing.
Wednesday 14th Dec 2022 came that day! l chose Dr Nizam because l read in the Google reviews that he performs bikini keyhole surgery & was a great surgeon. He got the results of my MRI & informed me that my replacement was going to be a bit more complex than the first one & could not do bikini keyhole. Immediately l took myself back to my first hip replacement performed by a different surgeon & started to panic.
I can only say that l am blown away by my recovery, l was home by Friday 16th Dec 2022 with very minimal pain & 5 days on, l am able to walk around the house without crutches, l do still use them but only for support.
I could not recommend Dr Nizam & his whole team highly enough. Thank you all so much for everything.

I cannot believe the ease of recuperation after having the anterior bikini hip replacement. After 7 days I am walking on my own, at times using a crutch for reassurance. I am walking up and down stairs with ease.. There has been minimal swelling and bruising and I have only been taking Panadol and prescribed anti inflammatory medication for pain which is minimal. People cannot believe and are quite astoundedI that I underwent the replacement only 7 days ago. I cannot praise Dr Nizam and his surgical team enough, this procedure will be life changing for so many, Very grateful for not only Dr Nizam’s skills but the attention to ensuring a pain free recovery and detail in minimising/preventing infection and DVT. 100% satisfaction,

About 3 weeks ago Dr Nizam did my second hip replacement. As with the first minimal swelling and no bruising at all. Again a great outcome.
Unfortunately the hospital was not as good in its care after the operation, and I had a very bad fall. Set me back a bit.
I could say that I was lucky there was no damage. I don't think there was any luck involved. I believe that if Dr Nizam had not done such a good job, the outcome may have been very different.
All credit to Dr Nizam that I went home on only panadol and anti inflammatories and am now recovering very well.

I had a bikini anterior left hip replacement on 7/7/2018 and was out of hospital the next day. I never used crutches and went straight to a cane for a very short period of time. I really had no pain and was back at work in two weeks on full duties.

I did a lot of research on orthopedic surgeons and Dr Nizam was the standout. He has proven to me that he is the only person I will trust with any future joint issues.

After 2 years of suffering insufficiency fractures of my right hip I found Dr Nazim, I was walking past his rooms on High Street, Malvern and the Bikini Line Hip Replacement sign caught my eye. Later on I found out that a few of my friends had their successful surgery through him and that was it, I was convinced it was meant to be. I’m so glad I did. Dr Nazim is so friendly and explained everything to me in detail. Everything happened just as he said and I was up walking the next day. No pain from the hip and swelling went down very quickly. Drove my car after 2 weeks and went dancing last week, 7 weeks after my op! I would highly recommend Dr Nazim and his techniques.

Successful experience having my hip replacement done by Dr Nizam. What I have been able to achieve just two weeks after surgery is amazing, mainly due to his anterior based methods.
