Vicious Sloth Collectables Pty Ltd.

I had a number of records which I needed to move on so today I took them in to Vicious Sloth. A huge thank you to Glenn for all his help. You were amazing! As soon as I arrived Glenn came out to the car to get them and then went about checking each one with great care. I was very pleased with the amount he offered me for the records which were in good condition and also assured me that he would “dispose” of the ones in poor condition in an eco friendly manner. I am so happy with my experience today, thanks to all the team 🙂

Can be a bit pricey, but there's plenty to find that's also reasonably priced. Additionally, the pricey stuff is often rare or otherwise some sort of collector's item, so it's understandable.

Had a nice chat with one of the owners who put me onto a great record by a local band. They don't stock every genre, but there's plenty there if you like classic rock/pop and alternative music, as well as local bands.

I was visiting from England and picked up a couple of great Ramones collectibles in amazing condition. Had a great chat with the owners (who know their stuff) about all things music from Robert Plant to Idles. Just ask them what you are looking for as some items maybe not be on sale yet. Brilliant record shop, all good stock. All thriller, no filler. Found some absolute gems today. Nice crew at the shop. Unfortunately for my 7 year old they don't sell real Sloths, just great vinyl.

Fantastic store for rare and original vinyl in great condition. I spent 2 hours here nearly and received great advice and shared a great conversation. Digging the KAK record - cheers for the recommendation. Highly recommended to collectors - these guys share the passion and knowledge.

I like it here. A second hand vinyl store. The owner knows his stock, so let him know what music you are looking for as he is very helpful and I found entertaining. Lots to look through. I found a few CDs that I bought, and there were a few music DVDs also. Other music memorabilia available

A really well presented collection of 45's that was an absolute pleasure to browse through. The Store owners Peter & Glen were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended to anyone looking to add to their vinyl collection.

Amazing range of records with super friendly and knowledgeable owner, he spent a heap of time helping us find various records. It's great to see little shops like this still exist.

These guys are a beloved institution in Melbourne. I can still remember fondly discovering their store around 1997 & so many rarities that it was like a pop culture museum! I still have regrets for not buying certain items they had back then, which are near impossible to find now!
Upon placing an online order during lockdown #5, happy to see their revamped webstore with images, so much diversity in product. Ordered a vintage poster, which arrived in record time and in mint condition. Thank you for still existing!

A well stocked shop with quality merchandise in every box. All records are beautifully presented in plastic sleeves and have a title sticker for easy searching. I was after some indie Australian stuff from the 80's and was not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and played awesome tunes whilst I browsed. A gem in the inner east is here. Thanks

Melbourne is currently blessed with a rich and diverse range of record stores. This has one of the largest 2nd hand collections next to Dixon’s in Blackburn and all stock is top notch. That Henry Rollins and Dave Grohl gravitated to here on visits speaks volumes. I’m always greeted like a long lost friend and a fun chat is guaranteed even though I’m just an occasional visitor and small time buyer. Highly recommended!

Vicious Sloth is an excellent shop. It has a strong range of specialist records and depth within each field. Everything is interesting because it has been curated with care and expertise. The best part, though, is the friendly staff. They're actually interested in talking, helping you find what you cate about and sharing incredible music. That's sadly rare quality in a record shop, but an absolute forté of Vicious Sloth. Thanks guys!
