Melin Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant

We ordered Mongolian Lamb, Satay Chicken and Vegetable fried rice. We went there without reservation and we were lucky to get seat. But recommending to have a reservation before you go. It was a nice place and little bit noisy but acceptable. Food was so delicious. Staff is really friendly and helpful. We will definitely go there try something different 😊

A group of 10 came here today for lunch. Food was amazing with huge fresh portions. Unfortunately the Singapore noodles were a bit dry. Otherwise everything was delicious. We will be back. Corkage $3

Had a lovely quiet dinner at this Chinese restaurant :) A rare gem of a find in the local area if you want Chinese food! Everything we ordered was delicious and prices are reasonable. Also the owner was very friendly and approachable, made us feel very welcome into town 😄 definitely recommend this place to anyone 👍

This is the place to go! We choose the Spring Rolls with Tofu as well as the Vegetarian Noodles. The dishes were all very tasty and the veggies were fresh. Prices were reasonable for for the quality and quantity of food that you get. The lady who took our order was very personable. We'll go again for sure!

Delicious food and very hospitable staff in a warm, cosy environment. We brought an elderly relative and asked for specific veggies to be well cooked. They accommodated us and cooked everything to perfection. Other places are not wiling to do that and it means so much being able to take a relative to lunch.

I had a pork belly and bok choy dish which was amazing! Everything they cooked was just so well done!

The food was amazing. The seafood and vegetable stream boat (small) had the seafood cooked to perfection. The scallops and prawns were so tender, they melted in your mouth. The Vietnamese beef salad was very filling. The beef pho was nicely spiced. The satay beef was amazing and with the rice, very filling. We took a bunch of leftovers home, even after sharing meals and being really full!

We did take-away. Crispy Duck was great: crisps outside and tender inside, it was really the dish “I want more!” Yum 🤩

My partner I enjoy good Chinese food we have traveled around Australia the only restaurant that come close to this one is the berry rsl club nsw. We discovered the Melin restaurant it was about a year ago we live on Russell island which is the only thing that prevents us from dinning there a couple a times a week. We reserve the Melin for special occasions or the need to have a goog meal .PS the make the best lemon lime and bitters.

Our main dish was Satay Meat lovers with chicken, beef and pork. The meat was melt in your mouth. Unbelievable taste.

Had an amazing experience. Super friendly, chatty staff and amazing delicious fresh food. Cannot wait to be back!

Melin ticks all the boxes of a wholesome and inexpensive restaurant that boasts a warm and welcoming space, friendly and helpful staff and food that is outstanding! The size of the meals are bigger than my eyes and stomach put together and the flavours fresh and punchy. Definitely will be returning! Thank you for your hospitality!

Absolutely loved the crab rolls, fresh and delicious. Vietnamese Pho was delectable thats why we keep returning!

This place has the best food and great service. Highly recommend the seafood Laksa, but be assured everything I have eaten there has been fantastic!

I know this is an institution in Capalaba and you cannot go wrong with anything you order on their menu. Special fried rice, spring rolls, sweet and sour pork and chicken chow mein just to name a mere few options tried from their extensive menu. However, special mention must be made of their house special crispy honey chicken which is made with the most organic honey and the perfect ratio to chicken and noodles drizzled on top. You will not be disappointed. It’s so good and good for you. Love the friendly staff, clean premises and value for money. Support local businesses every time you can🙌💕

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic restaurant that truly impressed us and highly recommend to anyone looking to dine at an authentic Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. It’s a family run business and what a beautiful hard working family they are- they’ve done an incredible job and they stop at nothing to ensure you’re looked after from the moment you step in there til the moment you leave. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Asian style decor that adds to the overall dining experience.

The menu is extensive, with a wide range of dishes that cater to all tastes and dietary requirements. Satay chicken- amazing. Rusty Nails (beef with honey and spices and yumness)- close runner up. To be honest there wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy about our dining experience.

What really stood out to me was the incredible value for money, the portions are generous, and the quality and freshness of the ingredients was first class. we had enough food left over that we could have fed another 3 adults so 3 meals rice and entree fed all of us - well (3x adult diners).

Highly recommend you take a visit there to Merlin- if you don’t like it then check in with your taste buds to see if they are working
