Really great place to stay, and a reasonable price for what you are getting. Lovely cottage, well maintained garden and quiet surrounds, undercover parking provided for your car. Coffee, tea, milk, etc provided. Good selection of cooking utensils.

Very rustic/aged aesthetic.

My only gripe was that the bed in Oak Cottage seemed hard and uncomfortable.

We stayed at the Oak Cottage for two nights and it was the perfect getaway. Very comfortable, beautiful decor, lovely gardens, very peaceful and tranquil yet so close to all the amenities. We met our hosts and they were the loveliest of people. We also had a peak at the other cottage and just as perfect. Cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Loved these cottages! Stayed as part of a birding getaway/weekend and were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cottage, the great arboretum literally in the front yard, and the very close proximity to shops (including a fantastic brewery). We look forward to returning.

The location was fantastic. Just the right distance outside of Toowoomba to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Highfields. The cottage was beautiful and very well kept, the bird feeder out front was great (partner and I love birds). Excellent facilities. Everything about the cottages was fantastic and perfect to escape the city. 10/10 will be back.

Absolutely delightful Cottage accommodation. Beautifully appointed, decorated & looked after. Gorgeous gardens, bird life & possum! Loved the gas fire, so cosy & little extras of chocolates, coffee & yum biscuits. Also appreciated the disabled bathroom shower being stuck in a Moon Boot 🤦🏻‍♀ Fabulous being pet friendly so we could take our little dog. John & Jan were great Hosts this week, super professional & helpful. Thank you so much for your great hospitality 👏

The Forest Cottage was beautiful! We felt at peace in the tranquility of the garden and the cottage was beautiful. Thank you Lorraine for showing us around and for your life stories, we enjoyed them. We will be back!

Where do I start. WOW WOW WOW. Homewood cottages has the WOW FACTOR. Absolutely beautiful hosts. Lorraine and Bruce do an outstanding job, they take PRIDE in everything they do so from Susan give yourselves a BIG pat on the back. The cottages are outstanding and stunning everything anyone would want to have on a holiday and relax. All you need to bring is yourselves. I stayed in the oak cottage. It even has a spa bath yes you heard right a spa bath along with a massive shower. Kitchen has everything except an oven but who needs an oven there is gas hotplates. The lounge room blue me away with a beautiful lounge, T.V and a gas heater in the corner, not to mention beautiful table and chairs to have your lunch dinner or even breakfast. I just love this place. You even have a verandah to watch the many bird life popping in to say Hello. I will definitely be back to Homewood cottages for sure. Lorraine and Bruce care about their cottages and boy oh boy it shows. If you're looking for a place to stay please stay at Homewood cottages you won't regret it. Lorraine and Bruce have more than one cottage on the property and I can only say all cottages are beautiful and stunning. Location is also perfect not far from the toowoomba precinct and one of the biggest shopping centres I've seen. Don't forget check out the fish and chip shop just around the corner. The cottages are in the highlands part of toowoomba so no trouble.

Our stay was perfect. The cottage was very clean and beautifully presented. There was great communication and easy access. It was peaceful and quite. The bed was extremely comfortable. Lots of treats were left for us to enjoy which was truly appreciated. Would highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

Great location, beautifully maintained gardenscape and handy to everything. We coincided our family visit with the Country Life Sunday Roast Long Lunch - a High Country Hamlets Hearth Wind and Fire event and booked both Cottages, the Oak & Forest. The cottages are great for a winter weekend getaway with the warmth and cosiness of the gas heated fireplace in each cottage. Thank you to our hosts John & Jan for their help with the booking and for the complimentary chocolates and biscuits (great with hot cup of coffee in front of the fire!)

very nice little cottage. Very cozy for couples,families or anyone. Loved fireplace,keep you warm in winter. A lot of tasteful touches in the cottage. Everything in the cottage is in perfect condition to use , very convenient. Good location too. Heaps of good parks, actually just a beautiful park with nice maple trees right next to it. love it.

As soon as we drove down the driveway, it was an aaahhh experience.
The beautiful English style garden and cottage were a delight to us and just our style. The cottage was immaculately clean, with everything we could possibly want to ensure our stay was as comfortable and as homely as possible. Special treats made us feel most welcome as well. The cottage is very private. John and Jan were most helpful in their communication with us, which we really appreciated. We are going to make this our 'go to' retreat whenever possible. Loved it and thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, private and special somewhere to escape to.

We stayed in the two bedroom Forest Cotttage. Tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and fully equipped for any length of stay. Linen and towels of great quality and in plentiful supply. Cosy fireplace and gas heating. Very quiet location yet close to Chocolate Cottage and gift shops. We loved being able to take our little dogs . Lovely area for walking. Thanks so much John and Jan.

So very happy with everything. Jan was so understanding of our needs which changed after we made the booking. The Forest Cottage is the best. Even though, the cottages are on busy Cawdor Road, we cannot hear any noise. The arboretum(Davidson) is a bonus, a pleasure to stroll. The roses, geraniums, trees and the birds add to the relaxed environment

We stayed the weekend at the Oak cottage and it was absolutely enjoyable! Everything was exceptionally well kept and all you needed for a romantic weekend away. The location is excellent whilst being private enough your also only 5 mins from shops/restaurants if required, local Thai massage and local attractions and within 30 mins to great local bush walks/hikes and visits to the local dams. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oak cottage and the hosts and breakfast pack was devine.

My partner and I loved our stay at Oak Cottage. The cottage was perfect for us and our small dog. We would definitely stay again!

Our stay in the forest cottage was magical, the cottage was perfectly cosy and the cottage garden was delightful to sit and relax in. The cottage has access to the Davidson Arboretum which was breathtakingly beautiful. The location was perfect with everything close by and lots of places to explore. We visited in late autumn and the colours were incredible. Lorraine and Bruce are exceptional hosts. The cottage and grounds are beautifully presented and our experience was fantastic. We will be back to further explore the area and see the gardens in spring.

Forest Cottage was well equipped for all of us and our friendly puppy - for our two night stay. Davidson Arboretum - just through the gate - is a wonderful extension to the Cottage - and worth a visit.

Introducing Oak Cottage. Only 2 cottages on site. Has an arboretum next door to stroll in. Beautiful handy intimate location, for a honeymoon, anniversary, or other special occasion. Cosy fire, spa, and full facilities, in a tree surrounded location, close to Toowoomba, good restaurants, eclectic shopping, bushwalking and leisurely drives.

Clean , quiet set in a garden setting just the place to relax, even our little 5kg dog loved being there exploring all the places in the gardens. Thank you
